Based on a visual comparison, the ReSound Cala is the same as ReSound LiNX2. Unfortunately, ReSound doesn't allow independent providers access to the technical specifications of their Costco line of hearing aids. In fact, Costco purchased hearing aids are software "locked" and can only be adjusted at Costco hearing aid locations. Typically, Costco hearing aids are a hyrbid level of technology (between low-to-mid or mid-to-high) and at least one generatation behind the latest technology. I am not sure if this is currently the case with ReSound.
It absolutely does, but requires the Phone Clip+. The Linx2 allows audio through the iPhone wirelessly, but still requires you to use the microphone of the iPhone. The Phone Clip+ becomes the microphone. It additionally allows you to make program changes, volume changes, mute functionality, and answering/rejecting an incoming phone call.

The Resound Cala is currently on sale at Costco, and looks to be the newest product offering from Resound (superseding the previous Costco-only Sola models). Many compared the Resound Sola to the first generation of Resound's LiNX hearing aids, which were one of the first Made-for-iPhone hearing aids to hit the market (and a hugely successful product for Resound). Resound released the LiNX2 on March 2, 2015. Going by the images and downloads available at future-resound.com, it looks like Resound has re-released the LiNX2 technology under the new... Read more

ReSound LiNX, Enzo, LiNX², and Enzo², and Beltone First, Legend, Boost, & Boost+ hearing aids work well with compatible Android phones. However, with Android there is no A2DP stereo streaming. From the ReSound Smart Hearing Aid Compatibility page:ReSound Smart is compatible with the following Android devices**:Please note: Direct stereo streaming, which is available via the iOS platform, is not currently available through Android platforms at this time. Android users can stream stereo audio using the ReSound Unite Phone Clip+ which allows you to... Read more
Custom hearing device products do not have IP (Ingress Protection) ratings, only behind-the-ear devices do. For moisture, the highest score a product can receive is an 8, which means it is waterproof. Custom devices between ReSound or Phonak are likely to be similar, with a rating of 7, which means it can be submersed in water for up to 30 min and still work. Because the battery door is not sealed, the custom device cannot be waterproof. If your custom device is submerged in water, it will likely be functional, but you'll want to be sure to throw out... Two different solutions. To give you a direct and quick answer: my preferred choice for unilateral profound losses would be Phonak Bi-CROS. Most clinics would offer you a trial period allowing you the opportunity to trial both then you choose what suits your loss, life style and personal preference better.
It would depend on the hearing loss in your right ear. That is something that you should discuss with your provider.
ReSound and Beltone are both made by the same parent company, and the technology is essentially identical. The main reason to consider ReSound over Beltone is that the software for the Beltone is locked. This means that you can only have your hearing aids programmed by a Beltone dealership. The ReSound aids could be programmed by any office that services ReSound aids. It gives you, as a patient, more flexibility.

To answer the question, at the moment: no. With regard to The Connect Clip which should be coming later in the year (will connect the Opn's to Android phones) Oticon's tech department are currently unsure if will have built in mic but it may do. You can currently use the mic on the iPhone as a remote mic. You start "live listen" it works like & phone music listening. It is best suited to 1-2-1 conversations as the iPhone would still pick up background noise but it could work in a quieter situation ie classroom. The loop equipped Opn's could work... Read more
I think you will notice a larger difference between the Verso and the LiNX 3D rather than the Verso and the LiNX2.
