I am 68 and have worn aids since I was 30. I have had full mold ITE, half mold ITE, mini ITC, BTE, custom made, over the counter and probably something else I can't remember. My worst experience was with the most expensive hearing aids I ever owned. After that bad experience I got these MD BTE aids because they were all I could afford after wasting $4000 on brand name custom fitted professional junk. What a pleasant surprise. I know they are only analog, and only have two programs for response curves, but the really work pretty well. And, the batteries last at least 2 weeks. They only last typically a couple of years, but at the price, that works for me.

I just bought the MDpro . I have not received it yet. I have never had a hearing aid. My one concern is the feedback issue, because it is analog. But, I am a musician, and they list this model best for musicians because the sound isn't processed like digital hearing aids. Have you had any bad experience with feed back?

Today I was reading a book "Beyond Biocentrism by Robert Lanza, MD that the brain is ANALOG! I thought maybe that is the reason my digital hearing aids don't deliver like I thought they should. I have worn hearing aids for over 20 years and all I have ever had was digital. I bought a hearing aid for my husband on Amazon about a year ago for $20.00 I looked through the drawer and found it and tried it in my ear I couldn't believe it I heard everything like it should be not with missinging sounds. Even music sound better. I am still in shock. I am definitely going to look into this whole analog hearing issue.
