Is Phonak Audeo V a significant upgrade to Audeo Q ?

In addition to quicker processing and bandwidth which leads to brighter sound quality and understanding in a non-distored inner ear, the Venture line of Phonak devices has better understanding in noise. This includes car noise and background noise. All of the features available in the device does depend on the tier/level of device that an individual chooses, however. The higher the level of technology (90 and 70 levels) will perform better in noise than the 50 and 30 levels. The perceived improvement or significance in the upgrade is going to be influenced by the level of technology that someone has in the Audeo Q and the level of technology they select in the Audeo V. I have had a handful of patients that have upgraded from the Q to the V and all have reported a significant improvement in their hearing/understanding abilities. 

Yes, it is a big upgrade.  According to Phonak, the Quest (Q) circuit has just under 20,000,000 transistors whereas the Venture (V) circuit has just under 50,000,000 transistors.  This translates to a wider frequency bandwidth and clearer sound.

The Venture is more advanced than the Quest The Venture platform has many more automatic programs The V-90 for example has over 200. We have have great success with the V products 

To be honest, I really do not know the difference and I have not had any of my patients compare the V's to the Q's.  I do know that when a hearing aid manufacturer comes out with a new product line it is because it is better.   Unless there is a significant improvement over past technology, manufacturers will not put the product on the market. Let your patients be the judge!

Yes the sound quality is much cleaner and clearer as the new technology works harder and smarter. You won't be disappointed!
