About the Signia Pure X
With integrated acoustic motion sensors, the Xperience hearing aids are designed for people on the move. They are based on the brand’s YourSound technology platform, its next-generation upgrade from the previous Nx platform.
The Nx chipset and sound processing software introduced Own Voice Processing (OVP) technology, which makes the hearing aid wearer’s own voice sound more natural by processing it separately from other sounds. The Xperience YourSound platform includes OVP along with acoustic motion sensors that let the hearing aids know when you’re on the move; then, “Dynamic Soundscape Processing” constantly responds to the changes in your listening environment.
The Xperience sound processing chip simultaneously handles multiple tasks. Among other things, it balances directional focus and omnidirectional focus while processing the wearer's own voice separately. That means when you're sitting at a table in a noisy restaurant, the hearing aids can provide noise reduction and narrow-focus directionality. Then, when you get up and start moving through the restaurant, the sensors allow the hearing aids to adapt with omni-focus, so that you hear more of the sounds that surround you.
Signia says the Xperience chip that powers the YourSound system includes 80% more transistors and seven times the memory of the previous Signia Nx chip, while being 60% smaller. As a result, the Pure® 312 X and the Pure® Charge&Go X, are smaller yet more powerful than their predecessors.
Two Signia Pure upgrades, plus a multipurpose app
The two Xperience hearing aids are improved versions of Signia Pure receiver-in-the-canal (RIC) hearing aids. One is powered by disposable batteries and the other by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. To help manage Bluetooth pairing, program settings, and other accessories, Signia also introduced a new smartphone app that integrates the functions of multiple previous apps.
The Signia Pure 312 X features a more discreet design than previous Signia Pure models. Powered by long-lasting size-312 batteries, it features Bluetooth connectivity for streaming of phone calls, music, and TV audio, and an optional T-coil.
The Signia Pure Charge&Go X is a rechargeable receiver-in-the-canal (RIC) hearing aid with Bluetooth connectivity. Improved lithium-ion rechargeable batteries are 16% smaller and provide 20% more charging capacity than the previous Signia Pure Charge&Go Nx. The devices also feature a new rocker switch for easier adjustments and comes with a new inductive charger that also works as a dehumidifier.
The new Signia App is a smartphone app that combines three previous apps into one unified environment. It works with both iPhones and Android smartphones and provides:
- Direct contact and remote support from your hearing care professional
- Control for volume, directionality, stereo balance, and program settings
- Connectivity management for phone, music, and TV streaming accessories
Smartphone and Bluetooth connectivity
Like the previous Signia Nx models, Signia Xperience hearing aids are Made-for-iPhone and can be connected directly to Apple devices for phone calls and audio streaming, without additional accessories. For Android devices and other Bluetooth mobile devices, direct streaming hands-free audio is possible with Signia's StreamLine Mic with an accessory streamer worn around the neck or clipped to the collar. And a high-quality stereo TV signal can be streamed directly to the Signia Xperience hearings aids with the StreamLine TV accessory.
