Beltone Legend Reviews

Hearing aid reviews are fundamentally different from reviews for most other consumer electronic products. The reason is because individual factors, like degree of hearing loss, have a profound effect one's success and overall satisfaction with the product. When purchasing a hearing aid, you'll need to consider more than just your hearing outcome ... Continue reading

Beltone Legend RIE 64

I had the legend 9 16 channel in both lgnd 9 63 size 10   lgnd 9 64 in 312.

312 batts lasted almost 1 week.

Bluetooth was only avail in android with use of a remote.  The remote was ok,  sometimes you could walk away from phone 30 plus feet and everything was fine.  other times, it could be in your shirt pocket or close and would break up.

Did not have great functionality for devices.

they have an option to link the two aids together so they could provide sounds from one to the other, but this did not work i guess because I have a large mellon.

I am active and i had a terrible time with fittment.

It may just have been my beltone supplier, but I am not buying from Beltone.

GN resound is the provider of similar HA and i would try with them if I could find the fitting software.

They have stopped working a few times, but Beltone always replaces them quickly. The people in the Beltone office have been great, they see me and adjust my aids as many times as I need, I am very impressed with them. I go to the Henderson office. My wife got her hearing aids at another provider and they allow her 3 visits over the 3 year warranty, then they will charge her for visits. My batteries used to last 3 to 4 days, but I just changed to rechargeable batteries - I highly recommend them.

What I like most about my hearing aids is that they are bluetooth and iPhone compatible

I have had a lot of trouble with them. They are financed for 4 years, and the warranty ran out in 2 Years. I would not have purchased them if I knew the about the 2-year warranty.

First time wearer at age 70. Very satisfied. My hearing specialist emphasized setting expectations and the need to wear aids so that the brain can recover lost sounds. Your spouse is the best feedback as to how well aids work.

These hearing aides are the 4th pair I have had and by far the only ones I have been happy with. I actually look forward to putting them on everyday.

I've confused many audiologists and hearing aid specialtists. I bought very expensive Beltone made for iPhone about December 1st in Gastonia NC. (Note to self: Don't buy new HAs a few days you migrate to FL!) I got the MyPal remote microphone. It helps somewhat, when my wife wears it in noise. If I go to a restroom, I hear better (in quiet). I can use the radio app to listen to NPR radio when driving (also wear earmuffs to block road noise). I'm still waiting for new ear molds to arrive. My Beltones came with the largest two lip plastic domes. Too much low frequency background noise gets past the domes. (I have self diagnosed hyperacus.) I installed a DIY hearing loop system in our home 3 or 4 years ago. The Beltone telecoils work well with my loop system. ( I returned Starkey Halos last spring, because the t-coils were oriented wrong for loops.) I looped a VW Jetta, our small motorhome, our tiny cabin in NY Adirondacks, and our second home in NC. My Beltone guy sent me a program and a USB gizmo for my laptop. He can remotely tweak my HAs from NC. The "jury is still out". I still understand speech better when "My HAs are In My Pocket!", or muted. I've tried many experiments adjusting bass and treble, and mic levels, noise reduction, wind noise, directionality (using the HearPlus iPhone app). Nothing seems to improve much. Often, the app only recognizes one HA, and have to kill app and cycle power on HAs.

I would like a 3 month supply of batteries. Lately I have been using energizer batteries that were on sale at Stop & SHOP. THEY DON'T WORK OR DON'T LAST. I am switching brands. The hearing aids themselves work well. I can now hear the TV set without evacuating everyone from the room. The Beltone guy cleans my hearing aides every 4 months and readjusts them when I ask. I recently switched one of the channels to "outdoors".

I have worn these hearing aids now , since11/16/2015, DISGUSTED, every one sounds  like they have a problem speaking plain, it's very hard for me to understand what they are saying unless I'm close, and looking at them, I have to ask them to repeat a lot.

Forget  understanding T.V. (no way.)

I'm ready to contact Better Bureau of business, I paid $3,790.00 for these Bell hearing Aids, model............2 legend 6 63 DW !!!!  I would not recommend these AT ALL!!
