My passion is to help people with any concerns they have about their hearing – from hearing impairment to hearing loss prevention. My mission is to provide the highest levels of hearing health care, protection, diagnosis, intervention and rehabilitation for adults and children with different hearing loss and needs.
My Background:
I completed my degree in Audiology and Speech and Language Therapy in Brazil in 2002 before moving to the U.K., where I spent four years of my career. While in London, I worked at The Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital and The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Queen Square. Since moving to New Zealand in 2005 to follow my kiwi partner I have been practicing a variety of general adult and paediatric audiology. With 5 years at Starship Children’s Hospital and 6 years with Bay Audiology, I have extensive experience with a wide variety of patients – from very young babies to people over 100 years old!
Most recently, I completed a 1 year contract at Phonak, one of the world’s leading hearing aid manufacturers, which was a great knowledge boost for my understanding of how hearing aids operate technically and how to provide optimum after sales support and service.
I am also a director and co-founder of the New Zealand Dizziness and Balance Centre. Each year I attend hearing conferences in NZ, Australia, and around the world to keep up to date with the latest best practices.

I have had significant hearing loss for nearly 40 years . In that time I have dealt with a number of very good audiologists . Well I thought I did before Goulart Audiology was recommended to me . Lisa Goulart is absolutely in a class of her own . She is technically brilliant , empathetic and always has her patients best interests at heart . Highly recommended for the best possible solution achieved with a high degree of technical skill, care and thought .

I have had two prior HA trials and at least three discussions on the benefits of hearing aids, but it was not until I had the opportunity to work with Lisa that I was agreeable to purchasing hearing aids. Although my current experience with the HAs is not perfect, I am confident that over time all my concerns will be addressed by working through them with Lisa.

Lisa Goulart is absolutely amazing. She took the time to really listen to me and had great patience to answer ALL my questions (I had a lot) She helped me to set up my hearing aids and go through everything with me. I have now had them for 3 years and even now when I email her a question or need help she always replies which I really appreciate. She goes above an beyond for her clients. Thank you Lisa!

Lisa is well in touch with hearing aid makers and familiar with their product roadmaps. This knowledge helped time my transition to a *much* better hearing aid. My needs of an IT professional and dad were taken into account when suggesting two different hearing aids. Also, self-titled as tech-savvy, my need for quality phone and music streaming capabilities were taken into account. Lisa put time into ensuring the hearing aids were configured and reconfigured correctly to meet my needs and were very flexible with equipment to ensure I was able to experience the setup thoroughly before purchase. Lisa will make sure the right aids are fitted and configured for you and will go the extra mile to make the process easier for you.

Lisa was great. Originally we started with different brand, more suitable for my budget. Unfortunately, that aid had way too much feedback and it didn't really work. Lisa suggested different brand and even cheaper model did so much better job than the first aid. Lisa tries to make adjustments and fine tune the aid for my particular need and we have regular check-ups until we came to product and settings that work well.

I found Lisa to be not only professional but very passionate in her relation with me as her client. She is the best Audiologist that I have experienced and I have had a number of these over my life time. She not only listens but provides solutions as well as explaining very clearly about what she does and going to do. Having hearing tests conducted by her was a pleasure.

Lisa proved both a good audiologist and a sharp technician. I have remained impressed with her caring attitude. She does not need to refer to notes about who I am and what my idiosyncrasies are. That surely helps build a positive and trusting relationship. She clearly takes special care to get the right fit (rather than sell a particular brand) for me as her client. Wish her well.

I chose Lisa as one of several recommended to me having already been tested in the public health system. I wanted someone independent who wasn't governed by brand or franchise agreement that could recommend the best hearing aids for me rather than only those they were allowed to offer. Lisa ticked all the boxes, I am very happy with my aids and I have recommended her to friends and family.

She was absolutely wonderful. She will see me as part of the purchase of the aids for one year which is fantastic news. But so far so good. I just cancelled my third follow up appointment as things are going well and I know if anythings changes she is only a phone call or text away. I'm glad a found a younger female audiologist who has a big heart to assist me with a kind of sensitive issue.

Lisa was both professional and pleasant to deal with. Although I was an experienced user she took time to make sure I understood each step that we went through and why. I felt totally confident with her approach and recommendations which was obviously soundly based on her deep knowledge and experience. She provided all the information I needed to make a decision on the right aids for me with no pressure. Once I had decided on the aids she then fitted them and adjusted them so that they matched my profile giving me the best sound experience possible. She never rushed through any step and made sure I understood any options that were available, or was happy with the way the aids were performing for me. My best audiology experience ever! Professional, thorough, pleasant and easy to work with, and delivered an excellent result.

Having been to a bigger audiology company twice some years ago for their free test, I felt like it was a factory operation with my testing person being interrupted by other staff which made me feel not totally satisfied with the attention. I was not confident of the outcome. Knowing that I should do something I responded to Lisa's snail mail flyer offering a free test and particularly the free trial offer. My first testing above only gave me a few minute test of what my new aids might sound like and because of the amount of money being spent, I was not prepared to decide on that snapshot. Lisa gave me one to one attention over three visits to get my problems sorted. I would happily recommend her services to anyone.

Lisa Goulart was fantastic. She is very professional, friendly and interested. Lisa makes you feel very comfortable and that she can help solve your hearing difficulties. Lisa made it very clear that the 2 of us working together will give me the best outcome.
