The Oticon Opn miniRITE-T was released in June 2017 along with the Oticon Opn BTE 13 PP (for power users). The miniRITE-T is similar to the extremely popular Oticon Opn miniRITE, but with a few incremental improvements. The extra "T" in the model name refers to the addition of a telecoil. Anyone who has used a telecoil for landline phone use or for hearing "in the loop" knows how valuable telecoils can be when it comes to hearing speech more clearly. Switching on a telecoil in an auditorium equipped with a hearing loop enables the listener to pick up sound broadcast from a microphone directly to their hearing aids (see video below). This minimizes ambient noise, and adds volume and clarity to the voice of the public speaker. The miniRITE-T also adds a double push button, which looks more like a traditional up/down volume control.
Directionality as we know it is now a thing of the past. Where traditional hearing aids focuses on one speaker and suppresses all others, Oticon Opn opens up the soundscape to embrace multiple speakers. Source: Oticon People First

Professional review of the Oticon OPN Hearing Aid by Dr. Clifford Olson.
Dr. Cliff Olson, from Applied Hearing Solutions in Anthem Arizona, reviews the Oticon ConnectClip Streamer & Remote Microphone. Finally there is a way to stream phone calls to the Oticon OPN hearing aids from an Android Phone, and a remote microphone accessory for the Oticon OPN. This takes away the two largest problems with the Oticon OPN!
Hearing Loops are the preferred assistive listening technology for people with hearing loss. At the push of a button, most hearing aids can wirelessly receive the sound from a public venue that has a hearing loop installed via it's internal t-coil or telecoil.
