Siemens Pure binax Reviews

Hearing aid reviews are fundamentally different from reviews for most other consumer electronic products. The reason is because individual factors, like degree of hearing loss, have a profound effect one's success and overall satisfaction with the product. When purchasing a hearing aid, you'll need to consider more than just your hearing outcome ... Continue reading

Mostly pretty good. I just started attempting to program them myself. My hearing fluctuates, so I do have good days and bad days.

Continually tweaking the settings and testing in the real world. Currently testing frequency compression. Have been using for 9 months and am amazed at the improvement in comprehension, and stunned at how little I am asking 'what did you say?'. Getting used to noticing issues such as when to change out the tip, that was one of the only ways I've experienced feedback. I feel like it has been an enormous value, but just found out I missed out on an in app feature b/c my model was one step below that upgrade. I feel that the sound is very natural, just having a speaker in your ear takes some getting used to.

Good for speech in noise. Not so good on the phone. Not good for low frequency loss IMO.

As a new hearing aid user I am delighted at the difference in the improvement of my hearing since using this HA. It does a wonderful job helping me hear speech, especially in noisy environments and on the telephone. It is also so comfortable I sometimes forget it is being worn. Another important for me is that it is small enough that others cannot see it.

I purchased my Siemens Pure binax in Portland, Oregon at Lovejoy Audiology which is located in Dr. Shiley's office on NW 21st next to Legacy Hospital, so they are available.

I am still trying to get them adjusted just right. I can hear a males voice but a womans not very well. We tried some ear molds and they hurt so bad I took them back the next day. Our new church has the loop and it is wonderful. I can hear every thing the priest says!

Very Disappointing. These "Siemens" hearing aids go dead on me several times a day. There is little or no background suppression and no noticeable improvement in hearing comprehension. I have sent these in for repair and even had them exchanged and still no improvement. By the way these are not made by Siemens but by some outfit in Singapore called "Sivantos" who makes the "Signia" hearing aid. They are Siemens in name only.

Hello - my 96 year old dad just delved into the world of hearing aids! And thankfully the Siemens Pure binex is a perfect fit for him! It has opened a whole new world! And the ease of the rechargeable batteries and the charger make it so he is able to put them in on his own and then put them in the charger at the end of the day! And all was going great until I ordered the wrong batteries....at least I think I did! I assume that I can only use rechargeable batteries, but I got in a bunch of Powerone p312 - not rechargeable. So now - late on a Friday night - I am not sure if I can use those batteries - I know that the red lights are blinking in the charger, so that doesn't work. But, I thought that maybe I could use the batteries (just not put them in the charger), but he said that there is static . So.....I now get to delve into the technical side of it! and he gets to have some quiet days! Any thoughts? Thanks

Seimens Hearing Aid: Don't waste your money, as I've found them to be substandard. Purchased a pair about a year ago at a cost of A$5,600, and I've had nothing but trouble with them. First of all, my right ear unit didn't fit well behind my ear: I was told, there was nothing that they could do about it, because it was the shape of my ear (since found out, that's not true). After a few week trying to adjust to the hearing aids, I found in different conditions, I was having trouble hearing properly. I complained that I wasn't happy with my hearing results and I was informed, that I needed time to get use to them, and the sound would come right. They double checked the recalibrations and once again adjusted them. About a month, I again approached my supplier, as I still wasn't happy with sound quality in noisy situations i.e. sitting around the dinner table, business meeting etc., I might be hearing the person across from me or next to me, but when someone further away said something, I couldn't catch what they're saying. Recalibrated again, and checked. Once again I was told I still needed time to adjust to them. After another couple of months, same issues. After another few months, and still having trouble hearing people probably. Asked for another appointment. I wanted to see the company's sales representative, and fix the problem I was having, once and for all. On checking the hearing aid computer settings, we found that the hearing aids had totally disconnected themselves from the internal electronic device... recalibrated again. Situation: - I am still forever asking people to please repeat themselves, and my family is constantly telling me to turn the TV volume down at home. The supplier is well aware that I'm not happy with their Seimens/Signnia Hearing Aids. Enough is Enough! I want to return them with a replacement and/or Full Refund. I have been told by the supplier, sorry... Seimens/Signia Australia won't give me a refund. With that in mind, I asked if I could 'Trial a different brand'. A week later, I tried on a pair of Oticon's OPN1's, and right from the start, they fit perfectly behind both ears. They were calibrated and within the first few hours of use... Wow! What a difference. I'm hearing all kind of different things that I couldn't hear before. I'm still into my first week of the Oticon Trial period. * Better speech understanding; * Better listening effort; * hearing more of different conversations than before. The Oticon Technology is far superior to Siemens however, the Oticon 1 is a far superior model to the Siemens Pure 3BX and in a different price range $$$ wise, my supplier wants another couple of thousand $$, in the meantime, I'm still Trialing them. Siemens/Signia your Hearing Aids have left me feeling totally ripped off, and they won't refund the $$$'s. Next step Office of Fair Trading and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC). ** The consumer watchdog in Australia has fired a warning shot at the hearing aid industry, with a new report raising concerns about patients being ripped off.
