Starkey Halo iQ Reviews

Hearing aid reviews are fundamentally different from reviews for most other consumer electronic products. The reason is because individual factors, like degree of hearing loss, have a profound effect one's success and overall satisfaction with the product. When purchasing a hearing aid, you'll need to consider more than just your hearing outcome ... Continue reading

They do help me hear in certain situations. They will not stay connected to Bluetooth.

I've bought pair of Halo IQ 1200 this is the only model available as far as i know in my country now, the problem mainly related to connect the Hearing Aid with my mobile device, I use Android system and i know it will not stream calls or music directly to the Hearing Aid, but i am talking about the normal paring with Trulink, it's not reliable at all, it lose connection on it's own and took great amount of time to get both hearing aid connected. this is really frustrating as sometimes i couldn't get them connected at all. or when the left connect the right wont and via versa. the second thing related to the dome model, it make the voice thin i am using starkey closed dome 6mm, the hearing become better when using power dome, but it hurt my ears in the normal day use.

Just had it for about 2 weeks now and shocked how everyone is so noisy. Still working on ways to improve the environment. Glad to only need one aide st this time. A lot to learn and not dependent on it.

I am learning with the assistance of my audiologist how to maximize my hearing aid app and she is helping with particularly loud environments by adding settings inside my aide. The fact that I don't have a severe loss this gives me time to learn how to use my aide before my hearing gets worse.

In general going very well. Still learning to adjust settings in different environments. Many sounds I haven't heard in a long time or were in the background of my attention are now WAY foreground, so I know I will have a learning curve while I adjust to the new sounds. Overall though they are helping a lot with the hearing loss. I can't quite tell yet if they are helping with tinnitus or making it worse in some environments.

What I love about it: I can listen to books or podcasts with pretty good clarity. Music is not quite as good. My provider gave me a Music Setting which works well, from the little testing I have done. That is, I do not stream the music but listen to an outside source. Live music is too loud and I have to usually remove the hearing aid since I can't turn it down low enough to not hurt in the ambient the music volume . When the commercials in the movie theater come on, I have to yank it out of my ear, then turn it off until the movie starts. I get occasional loud feedback noises. I'm completely deaf in my right ear. My first hearing aid was a basic bi-cross. I lost one h/a so I moved into this single, more advanced hearing aid which has more technology that I can use. I turn on the microphone in my iPhone and put it on the table to hear my dinner partners. In a crowd, it doesn't work very well; it's a swell of noise of conversation and cutlery - impossible. I'd certainly would be at a disadvantage without this hearing aid. The batteries last at least 4 days, if not more.

I have the RIC 10 and it does a pretty good job but far from perfect. Background noise is a big problem. The company I got them from is not easy to work with as the owner is not very nice. I think I need another test and my hearing aid's readjusted. I just don't want to go back to her but they are under warranty so I should get the help without her being so negative and mean.

Have had my Halo's for about a month after wearing AccuQuest for about 6 years.  I've found my hearing quality to be much better with the Halo, even after I'd had multiple adjustments on the Accuquest.  No question.  I have the iphone model and the 2 issues I continue to deal with are: 1- they don't hold a charge for NEAR the 210 hours advertised (More like 10-12) and 2 - while driving, I have to remember to turn the bluetooth off before getting into the car and back on after or I can't use bluetooth in the car, which I have to due to states I drive in requiring hands free.  I can't hold the phone up for the microphone activation.  There must be a way to make this easier without disabling bluetooth and its conveniences.

I am having a problem with having both L and R hearing on at the same time.

I have reset Trulink many times and used fresh batteries. Ont time the right ear connects and not the left. The next time it is the reverse.

Very frustrating.
