When we moved from CA to AZ, we were concerned that we would not be able to find the kind of excellent care we had had in CA. Happily our CA Audiologist recommended Applied Hearing and we have been thrilled with our care under Dr. Olson. Dr. Cliff is in the top 1% of his field. He continually maintains and updates his education on both the medical and technology fronts and to ensure his expertise on available and upcoming solutions to hearing impairment. He's also a very personable guy who listens carefully to assure that he understands the nuances of his patients' challenges and desired outcomes. Thanks Dr. Cliff!

I have been working with Dr. Olson and his staff for a year now. They are all very professional. Dr. Olson was the first person I've dealt with over the last 35 years that was able to help me with my hearing loss. I broke my eardrum when I was a teenager and subsequently developed a reverse-slope hearing loss. He had the knowledge and patience to work on a solution for me were I feel normal again. I'm 57 and look forward to the next 30 years with great hearing!

In a nutshell, Dr. Cliff Olson changed my life for the better! I'd like to begin by saying that I'm leaving this review after being under Dr.Olson's care for a year. I wanted to make sure I left a review after several office visits and time wearing my current hearing aids to share my experience. Dr. Olson is the 3rd hearing professional to treat my hearing loss. The 1st guy was an audiologist with 30+ years experience, the 2nd person I went to was an Audioprosthologist, basically a hearing aid sales person. I thought I was receiving adequate care for my hearing loss until I had my first appointment with Dr.Olson. The difference in the level of care was incredible! I found Dr.Cliff via a web search for top rated audiologists in the Phoenix area and was thoroughly impressed by his reviews and watched many of his YouTube videos before deciding I needed to make an appointment with him. His practice is super busy and so it was a few weeks before they could get me in to see him. It was worth the wait! My first appointment and test was 90 minutes long and seriously the most comprehensive evaluation I've ever had done on my hearing. I'd never had any hearing professional spend so much time with me or perform a Real Ear Measurement test. He listened to my concerns and even tweaked the programming on the old set of hearing aids I came in wearing as they were not programmed correctly to my prescription at all. He did NOT try to sell me new hearing aids or anything, which was both shocking and refreshing. This appointment was literally just an evaluation and him taking the time to explain my hearing loss to me in detail and listen to my concerns. Dr. Olson was very upfront by telling me that if I wanted him to treat my hearing loss it was going to require a time commitment on my part as several appointments would be required to fine tune my hearing aids and the programming. I immediately said yes. His office is 70+ miles from home but after finding an audiologist as good as Dr.Olson, I didn't care, I would drive to the ends of the Earth for the quality of care he provides! I decided to upgrade my hearing aids on my own, with no pressure from him whatsoever after some time under his care. He gave me several options to choose from that fit my needs and lifestyle best and did NOT push the most expensive models or those with features I didn't need or wouldn't use. The other hearing professionals I went to before Dr.Olson spent maybe 10 minutes on 'treatment' and the rest of the appointment in salesman mode trying to close a sale.   If you're looking for an ethical, professional and amazing audiologist who truly cares about his patients, Dr. Cliff Olson is your man. I'm hearing better than I have in years thanks to him taking the time to get my prescription right. My quality of life has improved in more ways than I have time or room to mention as a result of being under his care. A few other things worth mentioning in this review are listed below. I'm so grateful to have found Dr. Olson and recommend him to anyone who has problems with their hearing. The office runs a tight ship when it comes to appointments. They respect your time as a patient by seeing you on time, every time. I've never had to wait in the lobby after my scheduled appointment time to be called in.  The office, treatment rooms and restrooms are always spotless and neat! The support staff is very friendly and personable. Everyone at Applied Hearing Solutions treats you as a valued guest, rather than just a number. Invoices for treatment or products are fully transparent and easy to read with a detailed break down of the charges.  The service plans offered are top notch, covering follow up visits, repairs, supplies, loaner aids if yours are sent for repair, etc. Dr. Olson is super accessible to his patients. If you have a question or concern about something, Dr. Olson will respond to emails and phone messages promptly, without you having to wait for an appointment.  Virtual and in office appointments are available. I also wanted to give a shout out to Dr.Lacy Le at Applied Hearing Solutions. I've seen her a few times and was left impressed. The level and quality of care she provided was top notch too. You could tell Dr.Olson takes special care when hand picking great audiologists to join his practice.

Incredibly up to date on all the latest in technology and treatment options for hearing loss. An ethical healthcare provider who truly cares about his patients' well-being and is devoted to making a positive impact on their lives by providing the best effective treatment available. He's very empathetic and an excellent listener who never makes you feel rushed during appointments.

Ever since finding Dr. Olson and his practice, it has been life changing for both my husband and me!! From the onset, he is always thorough, conscientious, available, and provides extensive care for all aspects of hearing and protecting the ear. He is always available for check-ups cleaning, checking, calibrating and ensuring the hearing aids are functioning perfectly. He taught us ways to carefully clean the ears, as well as how to use and maintain both hearing aids. Prior to finding Dr. Olson, my husband had severe hearing loss for many, many years and could not find hearing aids or care which made any impact. Now…he hears perfectly!! Dr. Olson has extensive knowledge, great demeanor, and terrific ongoing care plans to provide the best possible experience. His entire staff is courteous and caring at every turn. Also, my husband swims and had issues with water in the ears; Dr. Olson suggested custom molded ear plugs to prevent any water from getting into the ear. They work perfectly!!! Most importantly, during COVID-19, Dr. Olson instituted safe practices to ensure his patients received care. We arrived at his office, dropped off the hearing aids in secure box outside his office, and then staff comes to get them (all with gloves, masks and going above and beyond to be sanitary). After Dr. Olson thoroughly provides the service (also wearing sterile gloves, etc.) ranging from removing humidity/liquid, to checking computer generated history of the hearing aids, etc.) they place the hearing aids and replenishment of supplies (was removal tabs, etc.) into clean bag and place in secure box. After they return to office, we retrieved the bag. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE CARE YOU PROVIDE!!!! You are amazing!! Let me say right at start that Dr Cliff is a great audiologist and a great person who is really concerned about the hard of hearing community improving their life experience. I look forward to my appointments because it's actually fun and enlightening, If you are anywhere near Phoenix make an appointment! I had Starkey aids for about 3 years and was never really pleased with my experience even after many adjustments. I had asked the audiologist about Real Ear Measurement and was told it was unnecessary because the computer software would make the best match, What did I know? I happened to see one of Dr Cliff's videos and proceeded to binge view the rest of them. Long story short, got an appointment and found out my aids, especially my left ear, was nowhere near matching my audiogram. I was fitted with Phonak Marvel 90s and couldn't be happier except for the infamous MyPhonak app. Great aids but crappy app. Don't let the app stop you from considering Phonak aids or any aids, make your way to Dr Cliff's office.

Dr. Cliff Olson, has changed my life. I went so long, without hearing. In our first appointment he changed everything for me. He preformed all hearing tests, the reason for my hearing loss and why. I did a lot of research prior to choosing Applied Hearing Solutions and I am glad I did. I have a couple friends with hearing aids and they are no where near as happy as I am with the results and personal service I get from Dr. Olson and his staff. I made the right choice driving the extra few miles to their office. A++++

Living with hearing loss for over forty years,I am pretty versed in hearing loss,the aides used to help the loss, and providers that issue the aides. As a consumer I expect 2 things. 1. Walk in my Shoes . 2. Any job worth doing is worth doing well.So do it well. Dr. Olson has asked all the right questions, accessing my past frustrations ,current situations and needs. He used the tools that all my past audiologist have not used to help get him get to that assessment. Hearing loss is not a guesstimate, it can be measured and your aides tweaked to provide the best service from your equipment. As far as doing a job well done; he has succeeded. He has perfected my hearing loss with instruments that virtually have no feed back, and has enabled me to engage in understandable conversation in restaurant setting, family gathering and theaters once again. So if you are avoiding a social situation because of hearing loss call Dr Olson at Applied Hearing. He will help you through the stress as he walks with you, he does a great job and he does it very ,very well.
