Dr. Rippy joined AAC in January, 2014 after serving as the director of Arkansas’ largest Ear Nose and Throat Audiology Clinic for over 12 years. He is well known and respected nationally by his peers as well as by his patients, and has been practicing audiology in central Arkansas since 1980. He brings a wealth of experience, expertise, and compassion for those he serves to AAC. He received his Master’s Degree in Audiology from UAMS and his Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Florida. Dr. Rippy has served on a number of state and national audiology boards and organizations including the Audiology licensure board here in Arkansas. In addition, he received the Frank Kleffner Clinical Career Award for outstanding clinical accomplishments from the Arkansas Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Dr. Rippy is experienced in all types of hearing aids, including Lyric, the world’s first and only “invisible when worn” extended wear hearing aid. He was, in fact, referred to as the “computer programmable Guru” by his audiology associates in the early days of computerized technology devices during the 90's. He welcomes to AAC all those with hearing loss seeking the very best that science and technology have to offer.
