MoreI've used this practice for 25 years. I have severe hearing loss and Dr. Stern-Weisman is a well known Doctor of audiology is Chicago. They carry all the brands of hearing aids and they let me try different brands at no charge for at least two weeks. Never any pressure . When a new model comes out they call me and give me a chance to try it, they provide minor repairs and adjustments at no charge. They carry all the accessories to help one hear better. I purchased a relatively inexpensive accessory that streams my TV audio right to my hearing aids. I'm not a relative of theirs -just a satisfied patient.

Dr. Stern-Weisman completely changed my uncle's quality of life with new hearing aids. She was attentive, thorough, and genuinely caring throughout the entire process. The office staff (Sherwin and Cindy) were additionally important in the process and provided a truly outstanding customer experience. Thank you for what you do and for taking such good care of my uncle.
Read moreI have used hearing aids for over 40 years and have been a beta tester for two manufacturers. In addition, I am a respected product design engineer who is aware of much of the technology of sound amplification. I have met no one in those 40 years who is as expert and thorough as Mrs. Phyllis Stern-Weisman. Her ability is matched with the most unassuming and caring attitude you could find in such an expert.
Read moreI have been going to North Suburban Hearing in Niles for over 15 years. They are friendly, very helpful, and speak to me in such a way that I can easily understand exactly what is happening with my hearing aid. In other words, they don't talk like snooty people, but rather like pleasant people who really want you to have the best hearing service possible. They're terrific. (When I got into a jam recently with my aid on a trip, they swooped in and were able to fix the problem and had it sent back to me the next day!)

MoreDr. Stern-Weisman has over 30 years of experience working with patients with hearing impairment. Originally from New York, Dr. Stern-Weisman earned her Bachelors degree (B.S.) in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Bradley University, her Masters degree (M.A.) in Audiology from Northern Illinois University, and her Audiology Doctorate degree (Au.D.) from the Arizona School of Health Sciences/A.T. Still University.
She became interested in Audiology due to her brother having a hearing loss that went undetected until almost the end of his kindergarten year in school. "I lived with watching my brother playing "catch-up" for missing six years of speech, language, and learning. The fact that he had a medically correctable hearing loss that went undiagnosed until almost age 6 years made watching the struggle to catch up in school even more unforgiveable. My memories of watching other children make fun of him for his speech and language and doing the wrong thing at the wrong time was painful. His residual struggle to catch up affected the entire family. I wanted to become an audiologist to help detect hearing loss as early as possible and assist people to take steps to lead quality lives."
