As someone with fairly recent hearing loss and just beginning to navigate the world of hearing aids, this clinic have been so patient and kind throughout the process. The persons that helped me with my hearing aid were so caring and patient. One of them was a student doing their clinicals, I believe, and the guidance of the practitioner and being very thorough was very enlightening to see. I would highly recommend this place to anyone I know with hearing loss.

In 2012 I purchased my first hearing aids from Salem Audiology. Carol Sayre, Au D, guided me through that process. In December of 2020 it was time to upgrade to new hearing aids. Because of the past excellent service I never considered purchasing the new units with anyone other than through Carol Sayre and Salem Audiology. She once again conducted a comprehensive hearing examination, provided guidance on new units and adjusted the devices to meet my hearing needs. The results are fantastic! During the past eight years I have made several trips to either of the two conveniently located Salem offices to have my hearing aids cleaned and serviced. Everyone I contacted on these visits was very professional and provided friendly helpful service. These services are provided free of charge and do not require a scheduled appointment. Salem Audiology also has annual battery specials that help keep the price of operating the hearing aids minimal. I highly recommend both Carol Sayre’s and the Salem Audiology Company to anyone needing a hearing evaluation and the purchase of quality hearing aids.

These folks were fabulous. I had an extremely difficult to treat hearing problem and while most audiologist would have try to sell me hearing aids they made the recommendation for a cochlear implant which meant I wouldn't be a patient of theirs anymore. Kudos to them for looking out for my best interest instead of the almighty dollar. I wish all businesses were this ethical. Bob G

Scot Frink grew up in the field of audiology, his father having started Salem Audiology Clinic in 1981, one of the first private practice audiology clinics in the United States. Scot obtained his degree in audiology in 2004, but had been involved hearing aid repair since 1990 and dispensing hearing aids since 1995. He previously worked as regional trainer for Phonak Hearing systems from 1999 – 2001 in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska, before returning to private practice in 2002. He has presented numerous seminars on technology and practice development for state associations in his region, and currently owns his own practice in Salem, Oregon. He is passionate about assisting the hearing impaired, serving on the Oregon State Hearing Aid Licensing Board since 2002, with a strong focus on consumer rights. When not at Salem Audiology Clinic, he spends time with his family at home. Yes, his children all have red hair. He is currently working on his doctorate through AT Still Univeristy.

She worked for a hearing aid manufacturer for ten years. Then in 2005 she began working in a private practice setting selling hearing aids. After two years she moved from the Portland area and began working for Salem Audiology Clinic as a clinical audiologist doing diagnostic testing and selling and fitting hearing aids. In 2010 she graduated with her Doctorate in Audiology and continue to enjoy what she does at Salem Audiology Clinic. Scott has been a tremendous asset to our family. Because my mother is confined to a memory care unit, he made a house call late on a Friday...unheard of. Service by him personally, and his professional staff is excellent. He helped to thread the needle with Medicaid to help us with her hearing; something I will always be most grateful. He has been involved with her care for several years, and has been exceptional to work with.

I wish everyone could have as qualified, thorough, and honest a hearing specialist as Scott. We drive 60+ miles from our city (which has several hearing clinics) because of the excellent service Scott provides. He is an outstanding professional. We had some uncomfortable meetings with other hearing specialists before Scott was recommended to us.

In 2012 I inherited some state of the Art hearing aids and brought them to Salem Audiology to have them fitted and adjusted for me. They only charged me around $700. Never the less they have supported and helped me ever since with NO additional charges. Besides being available and helpful they are incredibly honest. At least three times I have been in to see one of the owners, Scot Frink, to get adjustments or to ask him about "better" alternatives. Each time he could have said " Yes, your hearing aids are getting out of date" or " There is new technology on the market that you should buy." The last time I was there because a close friend had gotten new hearing aids and told me they were brand new technology that I needed. Scot carries that brand and told me that although they had some newer features, for my hearing situation it did not merit me spending several thousand dollars. Here is a person concerned about his patients and his integrity. I highly recommend Salem Audiology.

I have been going to his families business for almost 30 years. "Scott" is the most patient, kind and actually handsome, professional Audiologst. I don't know why I would ever see any other. Scott researches what is up and coming and informs me. Scott never cuts corners. When you are evalutated you are in an actual sound proof room to test your loss. I don't think your test should ever be done any other way. Scott's reputation far proceeds him in my travels and communication with other hearing impaired people.Scott will set you up to succeed! If you do not need the expensive aide he will sell you the less expensive one if that is what you need.If you cannot wear your aide and/or tolerate it he will refund you and wait till you are ready.Scott is very honest and I enjoy working with him, HE MAKES ME HEAR!!!

My experience with Salem Audiology was excellent. I was treated professionally and well educated on the cost/benefit ratio in making my device decision. I was thrilled to be part of the Unitron Flex Trial program. I was able to try the hearing aids at the different levels of sensitivity which was the key to knowing what was best for me. By the time I made a decision, I felt well informed and confident in my purchase. Scott and his staff provide top notch customer service and compassionate care. This is the second set of aids I've got from Scott, so that should tell you something there. I'm probably not the easiest person to deal with. I ask a lot of questions, don't settle for "good enough", I want thing right. Scott gave me so much information, was pickier then me, explained thing in terms I could understand, an if use some audiology term explained it without my asking. My wife and I were fit at the same appointment, I learned from her fitting and she learned from mine. I was satisfied with mine from the start, just had to have a little work done on one ear bud, no problem. Hopefully this is not my last set of aids, I will get the next set from Scott!

Very professional but have had trouble getting correct fit of hearing aids and correct sound levels and have had to make a lot of visits for adjustments as the hearing aids don't function the way it was explained to me they would.

last sept I had a med problem on a sunday and took my hearings aids apart, my wife called scot he said to come in that he would be in his office that day, but in the mean time I got worse and was taking to the hospital with a very high co2 level , my wife called scot back to tell him that I would be in the hospital for some time. scot came down to the hospital right than and got my hearing aids and repaired them while I was still in the ER I can not say enough about the folks at SALEM AUDIOLOGY CLINIC and SCOT FRINK Ronald j Eidsmoe

I was originally referred to Scot by my father. I have been very pleased every time that I have visited the clinic for an appointment or just to get the hearing aids checked or cleaned. The staff is wonderful and always very helpful and friendly. I have referred many people to the clinic and will continue to do so.
