Dr. Devon Weist received her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degrees from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Before joining our Department in the fall of 2013, Dr. Weist worked five years as a clinical assistant professor of Audiology at the University of Florida. She has also worked in ENT offices in both Florida and Pennsylvania. Dr. Weist is actively involved in the field of Audiology as she holds memberships in the American Academy of Audiology and Florida Academy of Audiology. She is also a member of the IDA Institute which serves to foster a better understanding of the human dynamics associated with hearing loss. Dr. Weist has been on the Board of Directors for the Florida Academy of Audiology since 2009. She taught AuD students at the University of Florida in both practicum and the classroom regarding hearing and balance disorders.
Dr. Weist is the Audiology Clinic Director and is also responsible for coordinating student’s clinical practicum both here in the USF Hearing Clinic and when students are placed on externships. In the clinic, she works with students for adult diagnostic practicums, amplification and assistive listening devices, and vestibular evaluations.
