Julie E. Kneip, Au.D., is a Doctor of Audiology at Hearing Associates, Inc. She received her professional doctorate in Audiology from Ball State University. Professional interests include diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss, patient education, and empowering patients to be advocates for themselves and others with hearing loss. Dr. Kneip holds board certification in Audiology from the American Board of Audiology and professional memberships include American Academy of Audiology (AAA), Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA), and Illinois Academy of Audiology (ILAA). She has presented on a variety of topics, including the importance of assistive devices, hearing loops, aural rehabilitation classes, and the newly discovered link between hearing loss and dementia. Dr. Kneip is trained and certified in Tinnitus Retraining Therapy, a specialized treatment for the management of tinnitus. She also teaches Beyond Hearing Aids: Sound Advice Class at Hearing Associates.
