Dr. Mary Carson is a licensed, clinical audiologist in the state of Maryland. She received her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders from Penn State University and her Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) from Towson University. Dr. Carson has a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, a Fellow of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, and a Member of the Maryland Academy of Audiology. Dr. Carson specializes in adult and pediatric hearing testing, and the fitting/programming/repairing of all makes and models of hearing aids. She also frequently visits local senior centers and assisted living centers for community outreach events.
Dr. Carson really enjoys the ongoing relationships that she is able to build with her patients and the ability to significantly improve their quality of life. Hearing loss is a challenging condition — it affects all areas of life including personal relationships and production at work, and often has a very emotional component for not only the patient, but also for his/her family members and friends. Dr. Carson believes that the ability to allow people to live a fuller life through improved communication abilities has been a very rewarding career choice.
