Dr. Johnson received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Western Carolina in 2000. She graduated with her Masters of Audiology degree from the University of Tennessee in 2002 and her Doctorate of Audiology degree from the University of Florida in 2009.
Dr. Johnson specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss and tinnitus. Dr. Johnson is certified with the American Board of Audiology and she is fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She is a licensed Audiologist in both Tennessee and Georgia. Dr. Johnson is also a member of the following associations: Tennessee Association of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathologists (TAASLP), Tennessee Academy of Audiology (TAA), Georgia Academy of Audiology (GAA).
Dr. Megan Johnson and her husband of almost 19 years, Derek Johnson, started Johnson Audiology in 2009. And in 2012, they opened a second office in Carterville, GA. They have three children, Gretchen, Winston, and Heidi. Their oldest daughter, Gretchen is currently pursuing her degree in Audiology from the University of TN, Knoxville!
Dr. Johnson wants to improve the patients’ and other medical professionals’ perception of hearing healthcare. Dr. Johnson looks to contribute at the state level to encourage audiologists to support their colleague’s efforts to advance the profession.
