Prior to beginning his career with Miracle-Ear in January 2016, Nathan was a counselor for 14 years. Nathan has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Toledo, a Master's degree in Counseling from Longwood University, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of North Carolina. He recalls, "What I loved about being a counselor, and what I also love about being a Hearing Instrument Specialist with Miracle-Ear, is being directly involved in the life improvement of an individual. There is a very strong connection between hearing loss and certain psychological disorders such as depression, anxiety, and dementia. When we can correctly treat hearing loss, we will frequently have patients report to us just how much it has improved their overall quality of life.
