Ruby and her husband, Kody, return to Cheyenne with great joy. They have two young children. Dr. Zubrod enjoys the outdoor activities offered in the area as well as family time at home on the weekends with her family. Her husband is a Master Sergeant with the Wyoming Air National Guard.
Dr. Zubrod has been working in Grand Junction, CO for the last 7 years and is pleased to come back to her Cheyenne roots. Ruby’s family originally homesteaded in Cheyenne in 1906. They owned the Plain’s Dairy that was a staple of Cheyenne for many years. Her great-grandfather, Neils Christensen, was the engineer responsible for the 4-8-8-4 Big Boy #4004 that is now located in our beautiful Holliday Park. Kody’s family came to Cheyenne in 1978 and co-owned Zubrod Brother’s Meatmarket. Dr. Zubrod’s history in Cheyenne is very rich and she feels this helps her to have a unique connection with many of her patients since they can share similar memories.
