Dr. Shanna Mortensen-Dewsnup is licensed in Arizona as an audiologist and hearing aid dispenser. Dr. Mortensen-Dewsnup obtained her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, with an emphasis in Deaf Education, from Utah State University. She also studied at the University of Cincinnati where she was obtained her degree as a Doctor of Audiology. Dr. Mortensen-Dewsnup is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. She specializes in difficult hearing aid fittings and hearing rehabilitation. Dr. Mortensen-Dewsnup has a passion for helping individuals and their families cope with hearing loss, and she finds joy in their success. Dr. Mortensen-Dewsnup grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, where she graduated from North Canyon High School. She has two teenage boys. Her oldest son was born with a severe hearing loss and has been wearing hearing aids since birth. He inspired her to go into the field of audiology. In her free time, she loves to travel, restore old Volkswagens, and spend as much time as she can with her husband and two boys. Dr. Mortensen-Dewsnup and her husband Kevin started Happy Ears Hearing Center in January 2015. She also runs a parent support website for families of children with hearing loss found at www.littleears.org.
