Whitney Woods, Au.D., recently joined OKLAHOMA HEARING CENTER in May, 2016. She will be evaluating hearing loss and balance disorders by performing comprehensive audiologic evaluations, immittance testing, otoacoustic emission testing, hearing aid and osseointergrated device evaluations and fittings, hearing aid validation measures, and videonystagmography testing. Dr. Woods has compassion for her patients and always makes it her goal to maximize positive outcomes for each patient. She feels like extensive counseling in finding the best hearing loss technology for each patient is her passion in the field of audiology.
Prior to joining the Oklahoma Hearing Center, Dr. Woods, worked at the Oklahoma City Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic, in Oklahoma City, OK, as a clinical Audiologist performing comprehensive pediatric and adult evaluations.
Dr. Woods earned her Doctorate in Audiology in May, 2013 from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In addition to her course work, she completed a full-year of externship at various clinics throughout the Oklahoma City metro area, giving her well-rounded experience in the field of audiology.
Dr. Woods was raised in Hays, Kansas and a graduate of Fort Hays State University. Whitney is married to Dr. Adam C. Woods, a Norman Chiropractor who serves Norman and the surrounding communities in Central Oklahoma. The Woods’ enjoy spending time with their son and German shepherd, Bella. Whitney enjoys participating in sand and indoor volleyball as well as many other outdoor activities.
