Rexton, Iselin, NJ, has announced its latest flagship hearing aid family, Rexton Reach, designed for people participating in group conversations who want to hear multiple voices in challenging listening environments. Rexton is part of WS Audiology (WSA), one of the world’s largest hearing aid manufacturer groups, which includes the hearing aid brands Signia and Widex, the hearing care networks of HearUSA and HearCANADA, and the online portal hear.com.

The new Reach hearing aid line builds on Rexton's BiCore technology—which splits speech into two separate processing tracks—to now feature four focus tracks or beams. It uses its new Multi-Voice Focus technology to scan the soundscape 1000 times per second, monitoring the changing positions of speakers and their voice volumes. It then boosts the prominence of those speaking—all without switching modes or processing delays.

Reach R-Li T: Multi-Voice Focus technology in a hearing aid built for real life

Rexton Reach R-Li T, the first hearing aid offered in the new platform, is a rechargeable receiver-in-canal (RIC) hearing aid designed to make every voice in a conversation clear and recognizable.

"When a group of people are involved in a conversation, hearing can get complicated,” said Rexton Vice President of Marketing Kerrie Coughlin in a press statement. “Not everyone speaks the same way—some voices are louder than others, voices overlap, and people move around. Despite these complexities, every voice is important. To be truly engaged in a conversation, hearing aid wearers need to be able to hear each participant clearly and consistently amidst background noise. We developed Rexton Reach to provide wearers with a solution they can rely on for all of their conversations—even in tough environments like restaurants, construction sites and medical facilities.”

Other features of Rexton Reach R-Li T include:

  • Wireless connectivity: Includes MFi and ASHA protocols for seamless smartphone connectivity. The new product line is also future-proof, needing only a straightforward firmware update to connect via Bluetooth® LE audio and Auracast.
  • Long rechargeable battery life: Reach R-Li T wearers can be assured that their rechargeable hearing aid will get them through the day; it boasts a remarkable 39 hours of battery life or 34 hours with 5 hours of streaming. It also gives you 4 hours of use on a quick 30-minute charge.
  • Rugged durability: With an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of IP68, Reach R-Li T has what Rexton calls a Lifeproof® design that can withstand the drops, splashes, and scratches of everyday life and is built with rugged components that are extensively tested to ensure they can withstand whatever the day presents you with.

“For almost 70 years, we’ve been committed to developing durable and powerful hearing aids that wearers can rely on,” says Coughlin. “With Rexton Reach, we’re furthering this mission by empowering individuals to confidently engage in every conversation, regardless of where the conversation is taking place. We're not just facilitating communication; we're strengthening connections and ensuring that every voice is heard clearly.”
