Demant Care Community Raises Funds for Respite Home for Women with Cancer
Demant employees lend support for good works of non-profit Mary’s Place by the SeaSOMERSET, NJ -- More than 40 Demant employees participated in the Mary’s Place by the Sea Annual Walk-a-Thon to support the good works of the nonprofit respite home for women with cancer. Members of the Demant Care Community and other Demant employees laced up their walking and running shoes on the ground in Ocean Grove, NJ, and virtually from across the country to help raise funds that will enable the New Jersey-based charity to continue to provide services, both in-person and virtually, that complement the medical care of women undergoing cancer treatment.
Established in 2021, the Demant Care Community brings together Demant employees for projects, like the Mary’s Place Walk-a-Thon, that enable them to volunteer and contribute to the support of in-need people in communities nationwide. The Demant Care Community is one of several Demant Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), voluntary, employee-led groups whose aim is to foster a diverse, inclusive workplace aligned with the Demant values.
