Margaret H

Margaret Hutchison, PhD, founded Austin Hearing Services, Inc., in September, 1999. Austin Hearing Services was founded to provide hearing tests and Tinnitus evaluations, hearing aids and other Assistive Listening Devices, to people in Central Tests.

Dr. Hutchison has ben an Audiologist since 1983. She has ben involved in both hearing and visual research. Her research publications include co-author of“Auditory Temporal Integration and the Power Function Model” in the Journal of the Acoustical Society of America (1990), “Stuttering, the Six Blind Men Revisited” in the Journal of Fluency Disorders (1983). She presented a poster session on the Mauration of Visually Evoked Potentials in Infants, Utilizing Auto Cross-Correlational Analysis at the Society for Neuroscience in Toronto, Ontario, in 1989. Her article, “Hearing Impaired Theater-Goers Experience Direct Sound Input” in Hearing Instruments (1993).

Her clinical experience includes creating the position of Hospital Staff Audiologist at Medical City, Dallas, Hospital in 1995. She had years of clinical experience performing site of lesion testing using ECochG, ABR, ENG and VENG and CVIIth conduction testing.

Dr. Hutchison is a member of the American Auditory Society, the American Academy of Audiology, the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, and the Society for Neuroscience. She is Board-certified.

She loves rehabilitative audiology (fitting hearing aids, assessing patient needs for equipment and counseling) because she can develop relationships over time with her patients.

She adores her five wonderful grandchildren, ages 8 to 15 years, her handsome husband, Ron, and her fantastic Labrador Retrievers.
