Call for Submissions for 6th Annual Hearing Technology Innovator Awards

Hearing Health & Technology Matters (HHTM) is now accepting submissions for the sixth annual Hearing Technology Innovator Awards™, an annual program honoring technological innovation and achievement in the hearing industry.

This year’s awards will recognize excellence in the following eight categories:

• Hearing Aids
• Personal Listening Devices
• Assistive Technology and Software
• Service Delivery
• Equipment
• Auditory Implants
• Hearing Conservation
• Therapeutics

Public Voting and Judging

Following the close of the submission period, all eligible entries will be presented for public voting in August. Voting will be open for two weeks, and submissions receiving the most votes in each subcategory will be named winners.

The prestigious “Innovator of the Year” title will be awarded by an international panel of expert judges, who will select the top entry from among the subcategory winners.

Judging will be based on the following criteria:

• Innovation – Represents novel thinking in the treatment or delivery of hearing care
• Effectiveness – Addresses limitations of prior technology generations
• Efficiency – Bridges the gap between hearing care and the end-user
• Utility – Promotes ease of use for both end-users and practitioners

Winners will be announced in September. As in previous years, category winners and the “Innovator of the Year” will be recognized during the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA) AuDacity 2025 conference, taking place September 25–28 in Washington, D.C., at the Washington Hilton Hotel.

Supporting the Community

Since launching the awards program in 2020, HHTM has raised thousands of dollars for nonprofits dedicated to advancing hearing health. Past beneficiaries have included organizations such as the Hearing Loss Association of America, the Hearing Health Foundation, and others working to support individuals with hearing loss, tinnitus, and related conditions.

Now in its sixth year, the program continues its commitment to driving meaningful impact across the hearing health landscape.
