Build Quality
Reveal offer the same excellent moisture and dust protection as Intent with an IP68 rating. The hearing aids appear well built though I found certain portions of the charger, like the lid, less robust than expected.
Resound Nexia Micro RIE have an excellent build quality with a robust, portable charging case and a high ingress rating of IP68.
Battery
With a battery life of 24 hours in quiet, shorter with streaming and noisy environments, Reveal should last you all day. This is consistent with Oticon's previous Intent hearing aid.
Nexia Micro RIE offer all-day battery life up to 30 hours, with a quick recharge time of 3 hours in the portable charger.
Bluetooth
Reveal offered easy and stable wireless connection. Their audio quality while streaming music, and during hands-free calling, was good and comparable to other prescription hearing aids.
Nexia are compatible with both iOS and Android, offering wireless audio streaming and hands-free calls.
App Features
I found the Companion app easy to navigate and use. There is plenty of opportunity to customize settings from your mobile device. The HearingFitness component is also a nice feature for those who like to actively track their progress.
I found Resound's Smart3D app easy to use with many useful features, including "Check My Fit" which helps with correct insertion. The app unfortunately lacks health and fitness tracking.
Comfort
Oticon hearing aids like Reveal differ in design from other major manufacturers; however, they were very comfortable on my ears. Your hearing care providers can make numerous physical changes to prescription hearing aids in office to improve comfort on your ears.
Nexia Micro RIE were extremely comfortable and lightweight in my ears. In general, hearing care providers can make numerous physical changes to prescription hearing aids like Real to improve comfort.
Design
Reveal are modern looking hearing aids though their size is slightly larger than many of the latest "micro" or "mini" designs. Regardless, I found them fairly discrete and Oticon offers plenty of colors, from skin tones to deep plum purple.
Nexia are sleek, smaller than ever, and modern looking prescription hearing aids. They also allow you to customize the look of your hearing aids with an array of color options.

Handling
Reveal are easy to use and adjust either with the multi-function button or Oticon Companion app. I had no issues making adjustments with either.

The Multi-Mic+ is a versatile wireless accessory designed to help hearing aid users hear more clearly in challenging situations.
