Beltone Expands Serene Hearing Aid Line for Enhanced Accessibility, Auracast and Windows PC Connectivity

Beltone Serene now includes (l to r) Completely-in-Canal (CIC), In-the-Ear and In-the-Canal (ITE/ITC), Receiver-in-Canal (RIC), and Behind-the-Ear (BTE) models featuring nearly invisible slim-tubes or more standard ear hooks for people with higher levels of hearing loss.

Beltone has announced the expansion of its Beltone's Serene™ hearing aid line, now featuring an array of popular styles tailored to the varied needs of individuals with hearing loss. With their high performance in noisy environments, Beltone Serene is the smallest hearing aid yet from Beltone and is equipped with cutting-edge features to optimize hearing across a wide range of sound environments while incorporating the latest Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) standards.

Beltone Serene represents one of the first hearing aids in the industry to enable seamless connectivity with Auracast™ broadcast devices, a groundbreaking advancement in assistive listening technology. Additionally, in collaboration with Microsoft, Beltone is paving the way for its Serene line to be the first hearing aid natively compatible with new Windows PCs supporting Bluetooth LE Audio, ensuring a seamless experience for users on compatible Windows devices.

Highlights of Beltone Serene

The Beltone Serene product family includes:

  • Expanded Style Options: The Beltone Serene family now includes Behind-the-Ear (BTE), Custom Rechargeable, and Completely-in-Canal (CIC) styles (CICs are non-wireless and use a size 10A disposable battery), complementing the previously launched Receiver-in-Ear (RIE) and microRIE models with rechargeable options.
  • Advanced Connectivity: With Auracast-ready Beltone Serene devices, users can effortlessly access Auracast broadcast audio via their compatible smartphones, enhancing experiences in public venues such as airports, cinemas, and places of worship. Beltone Serene is compatible with new Microsoft Windows PCs supporting Bluetooth LE Audio, enabling users to stream sound, including Teams calls, directly to their hearing aids from compatible Windows devices.
  • Enhanced At-Home Entertainment: You can now enjoy Auracast at home by seamlessly connecting Beltone Serene devices to the new Beltone TV-Streamer+, which also connects with other Auracast-enabled devices. This feature offers a 56% enhancement in speech recognition compared to standard TV speakers, significantly enriching the at-home viewing experience.

Auracast allows for audio broadcasts and messages to be streamed directly into your hearing aids, and is anticipated to be an extremely useful technology for people attending ballgames, lectures, movies, places of worship, and more.

Moreover, all Beltone Serene styles are discreetly designed for all-day comfort, weatherproof, sweatproof, and available in a diverse range of color options to suit individual preferences. The extended family of Beltone Serene hearing aids will be available within the Beltone hearing care network nationwide starting February 22, 2024.
