New Line of Personalized Hearing Enhancement Products from Wear & Hear at CES 2020

Use your Smartphone to assess and personalize your hearing; self-tune what you hear in real-time

NEW YORK CITY – Wear & Hear®, a new brand of future-forward wearable audio devices from Israeli tech innovator Alango Technologies, is introducing new highly-anticipated devices to the Wear & Hear family at CES 2020 in Las Vegas from January 7th through the 10th at booth #45926 in the Sands, Hall D.

Dr. Alexander Goldin, founder and CEO of Alango Technologies and the Wear & Hear line of assistive hearing products, has spent the past 25 years developing digital sound enhancement technologies for voice communication and consumer electronics. According to data from the World Health Organization, hearing aids are desperately needed by more than 400 million people worldwide with disabling hearing loss, and yet are used by only 3% of that population. Goldin’s solution has been to disrupt the traditional model of how hearing aids are produced and distributed, by creating “hearing gain” devices within the consumer tech industry, that are simpler to use, easy to self-tune, stylish, affordable, multi-functional, always-on, and always-connected.

Wear & Hear will be launching two products at CES 2020: a personalized hearing headset and an audio transmitter:

  • BeHear® ACCESS: Featuring the same advanced sound enhancement technology and wide-ranging hearing functionality as the BeHear NOW, the first personalized hearing headset in the line released in 2018, the new model’s large, tactile control buttons and a charging cradle make the BeHear ACCESS especially suitable for older people, or those with dexterity issues. Two built-in Telecoil receivers ensure best possible hearing in locales equipped with hearing loop technology, such as houses of worship, auditoriums, and service counters.
  • HearLink® PLUS: a low latency, long range Bluetooth® transmitter that streams audio directly from an analog or digital (optical) sound source, such as a television set, to the viewers ears, thus eliminating ambient noises, room reverberation, and other types of sound interference which hamper intelligibility of speech and music appreciation. The transmitter pairs seamlessly with the Wear & Hear line of assistive hearing headsets, ensuring that each listener benefits from personalized audio that can be fine-tuned in real-time using the dedicated W&H BeHear smartphone app.

With millions of communication products worldwide using Alango’s algorithms and software, Alango Technologies has accumulated almost two decades of practical experience developing digital sound processing technologies working in noisy, reverberant and otherwise unfriendly acoustic environments. Through this process, Alango’s team discovered that people have individual hearing preferences, find themselves in various types of sound environments, and use a wide variety of audio devices. Alango Technologies introduced the concept of customizable hearing devices to make it possible for everyone to hear personalized sound.

The BeHear ACCESS will be competing in “The Last Gadget Standing” at this year’s CES show. Voting for the People’s Choice award will close at midnight, PST, on January 7th. Support us by voting here.
