SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ — Audien Hearing today announced a partnership with legendary actor William Shatner, launching “Boldly Hear What’s Next,” a campaign built on a shared belief: getting older shouldn’t mean getting less out of life.
For generations, Shatner has inspired people to imagine what’s possible. At 90, he traveled to space himself. At 95, he’s still creating, exploring and asking what comes next. Now, alongside Audien, he’s bringing that same spirit to a deeply personal subject: hearing, and the role it plays in staying connected to a life still unfolding.
Actor William ShatnerI’ve spent a lifetime thinking about the future, and at 95, I still want to know what’s next: the next conversation, the next idea, the next adventure. I know firsthand how hearing challenges can affect those moments. That’s why I partnered with Audien. There’s a lot of life left to live, and a lot worth hearing.
Shatner brings personal experience to the partnership, having faced hearing challenges himself and using Audien’s Atom X over-the-counter hearing aids to stay connected to the conversations, people and experiences that matter to him. As a brand ambassador, he will appear in a wide-ranging marketing and social media campaign encouraging people to take the next step toward better hearing and keep looking forward.
The message is simple: getting older doesn’t mean you’re finished discovering who you can be, where you can go or what you can contribute. Better hearing can help people remain part of those possibilities, from joining a lively dinner conversation to sharing a quiet moment with someone they love.

“We started Audien because too many people were being left out of conversations they deserved to be part of,” said Ishan Patel, co-founder and CEO of Audien Hearing. “Making hearing more accessible means giving people a way back into those moments. William embodies why that matters: there is still so much life ahead worth showing up for.”
The need for accessible hearing care is significant. More than 1.5 billion people worldwide, nearly 20% of the population, live with hearing loss, according to the World Health Organization. Among adults 70 and older with hearing loss who could benefit from hearing aids, fewer than one in three has ever used them, according to the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders.
Founded in 2019, Audien set out to help close that gap by making hearing technology easier to access, easier to use and easier to afford.
Today, Audien combines a growing lineup of over-the-counter hearing aids with human support to help people take that first step with greater confidence. Its Atom X is a rechargeable in-ear hearing aid with a touchscreen charging case that lets users adjust volume and hearing modes without a smartphone app, while a free one-on-one Sound Check appointment with a Hearing Specialist provides personalized setup and guidance.
“With Audien we spent years thinking we could change the world, even when people thought we were crazy,” said Zack Hubbard, co-founder of Audien Hearing. “That’s what boldly means to us: believing a better future is possible and having the courage to build it. William has inspired generations to dream that way. Partnering with him is a dream come true.”
“Boldly Hear What’s Next” celebrates the conversations still to come, the places still to go and the chapters still to be written. With Shatner, Audien is inviting people to imagine a future they’re excited to be part of, and take a step toward hearing more of it.
Your best years aren’t behind you. They’re what’s next.
