WSA Pledges 100 Hearing Aids to Dallas Hearing Foundation

ISELIN, NJ – WSA, a global leader in hearing healthcare and home to the Widex and Signia hearing aid brands, today announced a commitment to donate 100 additional hearing aids to the Dallas Hearing Foundation (DHF) over the next year through its Wonderful Sound Project initiative. The collaboration will also include employee volunteer support to help expand access to hearing care services throughout North Texas.

The pledge builds on WSA’s existing partnership with the Dallas Hearing Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial assistance for hearing healthcare along with meaningful community support and resources to underserved children and adults in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and beyond.

This commitment is part of the Wonderful Sound Project, WSA’s social impact initiative focused on expanding access to hearing care through community-based programs that combine employee engagement, hearing health outreach, and access to hearing care for underserved communities.

“The Wonderful Sound Project is about ensuring more people can experience the life-changing benefits of better hearing, regardless of their financial circumstances," said Mike O’Neil, President of US Wholesale at WSA, who recently joined the Dallas Hearing Foundation Board of Directors. “Through my involvement with the Foundation, I’ve seen firsthand the tremendous need that exists in our community. When funding limitations create barriers to care, people can be forced to wait for help they need today. By donating hearing aids and including employee volunteer support, we’re helping the Foundation stretch its resources further, reduce waitlists, and reach more people with life-changing hearing solutions.”

Untreated hearing loss can impact communication, employment opportunities, social engagement, and overall quality of life. By reducing the Foundation’s need to allocate scarce funds toward hearing aid purchases, the donation program will help ensure more individuals receive timely access to the hearing care they need.
