Jabra Enhance Select 700 vs. Oticon Reveal

Jabra’s flagship Enhance Select 700 offers premium sound, LE Audio, Auracast, and top-tier remote audiology care in a tiny, discreet design.

Oticon Reveal combines strong lab speech results with comfortable hearing aids and stable Bluetooth. Our reviewer questioned the charger lid’s sturdiness.

Jabra Enhance Select 700 achieved a SoundScore of 3.8/5 and a SoundGrade of B in HearAdvisor lab testing. It ranked #26 of 65 OTC Hearing Aid devices tested. The OTC Hearing Aid category average SoundScore was 3.68/5.

Oticon Reveal 1 miniRITE achieved a SoundScore of 5.1/5 and a SoundGrade of A in HearAdvisor lab testing. The Prescription Hearing Aid category average SoundScore was 4.19/5.

Jabra hearing aids share technology from GN Resound and generally have fantastic build quality. Select 700 is no exception with an ingress rating of IP68 and the standard robust portable charging case.

Reveal offer the same excellent moisture and dust protection as Intent with an IP68 rating. The hearing aids appear well built though I found certain portions of the charger, like the lid, less robust than expected.

Jabra 700 offer full-day 24 hour battery life. The case also holds enough power for 3 addition charges which is plenty for a weekend excursion.

With a battery life of up to 20 hours, longer without streaming, Reveal should last you all day. This is consistent with Oticon's previous Intent hearing aid.

Bluetooth was straightforward and reliable, working seamlessly without any issues. This is what I've come to expect with Jabra hearing aids.

Reveal offered easy and stable wireless connection. Their audio quality while streaming music, and during hands-free calling, was good and comparable to other prescription hearing aids.

The Jabra Enhance App mirrors the useful features available in Resounds prescription hearing aid app. I found it to offer plenty of options to personalize audio quality beyond the custom programming.

I found the Companion app easy to navigate and use. Other prescription hearing aid companies offer more in-depth apps, but there is still plenty of opportunity to customize settings from your mobile device. The HearingFitness component is also a nice feature for those who like to actively track their progress.

Jabra Enhance 700 are very comfortable given their shockingly small and lightweight design. The button are also larger than many OTC products making setting changes easier.

Oticon hearing aids like Reveal differ in design from other major manufacturers; however, they were very comfortable on my ears. Your hearing care providers can make numerous physical changes to prescription hearing aids in office to improve comfort on your ears.

Jabra has done a nice job redesigning prescription technology for the direct-to-consumer market. Select 700 shares the same shockingly discrete size as the previous Select 500 model.

Reveal are modern looking hearing aids though their size is slightly larger than many of the latest "micro" or "mini" designs. Regardless, I found them fairly discrete and Oticon offers plenty of colors, from skin tones to deep plum purple.

Jabra Enhance Select 700 has a value score of 3.7/5 based on lab performance and public display price.

Oticon Reveal 1 miniRITE has no value rating available yet.

I found Enhance 700 easy to use, though receiver-in-canal devices might take a bit of practice. Pro support can assist, and the easy charging case makes on-the-go charging a breeze.

Reveal are easy to use and adjust either with the multi-function button or Oticon Companion app. I had no issues making adjustments with either.

Jabra has arguably the best pro support offering among OTC devices. They provide 3 years of telehealth audiologic services including remote programming and video appointments. While I'd prefer in-person appointments, Jabra continues to bridge the gap given the limitations of remote care.

Prescription hearing aids like Intent are fit by hearing care providers so you should receive quality care. The Oticon Companion app also opens the possibility for remote programming and virtual follow-up appointments.
