Oticon Reveal vs. Signia Pure Charge&Go MaX

Oticon Reveal combines strong lab speech results with comfortable hearing aids and stable Bluetooth. Our reviewer questioned the charger lid’s sturdiness.

Signia MaX hearing aids are comfortable and easy to handle. Lab speech results improved with tuning; the sturdy portable charger is on the larger side.

Oticon Reveal 1 miniRITE achieved a SoundScore of 5.1/5 and a SoundGrade of A in HearAdvisor lab testing. The Prescription Hearing Aid category average SoundScore was 4.19/5.

Signia Pure Charge&Go MaX achieved a SoundScore of 4.3/5 and a SoundGrade of A in HearAdvisor lab testing. The Prescription Hearing Aid category average SoundScore was 4.19/5.

Reveal offer the same excellent moisture and dust protection as Intent with an IP68 rating. The hearing aids appear well built though I found certain portions of the charger, like the lid, less robust than expected.

Pure MaX have an impressive build quality, featuring a top-of-the-line IP68 ingress rating. I also found their portable charging case robust, though on the larger size.

With a battery life of up to 20 hours, longer without streaming, Reveal should last you all day. This is consistent with Oticon's previous Intent hearing aid.

Pure Max hearing aids have a reported battery life of around 30 hours per charge. While less than Signia's previous Pure C&G device, it is still plenty to get you through the day. Recharging takes 3 to 4 hours which can be done overnight while you sleep.

Reveal offered easy and stable wireless connection. Their audio quality while streaming music, and during hands-free calling, was good and comparable to other prescription hearing aids.

MaX are Bluetooth compatible with both iOS and Android devices, allowing for audio streaming and hands-free calling.

I found the Companion app easy to navigate and use. Other prescription hearing aid companies offer more in-depth apps, but there is still plenty of opportunity to customize settings from your mobile device. The HearingFitness component is also a nice feature for those who like to actively track their progress.

Signia's app stands out with its user-friendly interface and modern, appealing design. It includes practical features like the ability to control the focus of your hearing aids and a mask mode to enhance speech clarity. Additionally, the app offers wellness features, utilizing hearing aid motion sensors for activity tracking.

Oticon hearing aids like Reveal differ in design from other major manufacturers; however, they were very comfortable on my ears. Your hearing care providers can make numerous physical changes to prescription hearing aids in office to improve comfort on your ears.

I found MaX very comfortable due to their shape and earwire design. Your hearing care provider should ensure they are fitted for optimal comfort and hearing benefit before you leave the office.

Reveal are modern looking hearing aids though their size is slightly larger than many of the latest "micro" or "mini" designs. Regardless, I found them fairly discrete and Oticon offers plenty of colors, from skin tones to deep plum purple.

MaX features a modern, sleek design and is available in a variety of colors, from discreet to bold. This latest generation has a rougher matt finish, which is nice.

Oticon Reveal 1 miniRITE has no value rating available yet.

Signia Pure Charge&Go MaX has a value score of 4.7/5 based on lab performance and public display price.

Reveal are easy to use and adjust either with the multi-function button or Oticon Companion app. I had no issues making adjustments with either.

I did not run into any issues while using MaX hearing aids. They are very easy to use once setup by your hearing care provider. First-time users may need some practice to get accustomed to inserting the receiver-in-ear style properly.

Prescription hearing aids like Intent are fit by hearing care providers so you should receive quality care. The Oticon Companion app also opens the possibility for remote programming and virtual follow-up appointments.

You should receive quality hearing care and support from your provider. The Signia App should enhance your experience with AI assistance and user-friendly virtual appointments, given your provider offers telehealth services.
