Lexie Hearing, with U.S. headquarters in Boston, has launched its new Lexie B2 Plus Self-fitting OTC Hearing Aid Powered by Bose, which includes an enhanced in-app hearing test feature and a new charging carrying case that holds one extra charge that provides up to 18 hours of extended battery life for users who are on the go. The new aids are priced at $999 per pair, or $200 more than the brand's popular Lexie B2 Hearing Aids Powered by Bose hearing aids, which earned high ratings in the 2023 Expert Choice Award from the independent audio test lab HearAdvisor.

The new B2 Plus Powered by Bose hearing aids build and improve on the previous B2s by introducing an optional in-app hearing test that analyzes the wearer's unique hearing profile. This test provides personalized hearing aid settings, ensuring an optimal starting point that users can save as one of their presets. Following this initial setup, wearers can further customize their experience to achieve maximum comfort across various environments. The hearing test utilizes diagnostic technology from hearX, the South Africa-based parent group of Lexie Hearing and Go Hearing.

Wearers are empowered with the flexibility to undergo the hearing test during the initial setup or whenever they wear the hearing aids thereafter. The test can be retaken as frequently as desired. Alternatively, for those who prefer not to utilize the hearing test feature, manual adjustments for bass, treble, and volume are available, allowing wearers control over their hearing experience. The Lexie app offers customization to further optimize your listening experience by allowing you to conveniently adjust the volume, sound clarity, and background noise to your preference.
