Unitron Canada has announced the launch of its latest flagship hearing aid line, Vivante, which is designed to provide improved sound performance and personalized control for the user. The new hearing aid platform combines enhanced sound processing with a new design and suite of Experience Innovations, as well as the Remote Plus app for a customized listening experience, says the company.

Vivante, which currently consists of the Moxi V-R and VR-T rechargeable receiver-in-canal (RIC) models, launches in the United States on May 1.

“Following the same design philosophy that has won Unitron hearing instruments many awards, Moxi Vivante products are designed for those who appreciate aesthetics, comfort and ease-of-use,” said Unitron Senior Product Manager Corey Banham in a press statement. “Our Moxi Vivante hearing instruments are designed to bring the sounds of the good life right to wearers' ears.”

Vivante runs on Unitron’s latest Integra OS platform which has added an eighth listening environment: conversation in loud noise. This new environment takes advantage of the company’s HyperFocus feature in the most complex, noisy situations. HyperFocus improves the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for face-to-face conversations in loud noise environments and automatically adapts to constantly changing environments.

Users of Vivante will also have access to the new 360 conversation in-car manual program that automatically focuses on speech—regardless of where passengers are seated—addressing the unique listening environment in the car. All these listening features can be accessed through the Remote Plus app, which is available for iOS and Android devices.

Unitron Senior Product Manager Corey Bonham explains the design principles and benefits of the new Moxi Vivante product line in this company-produced video. Closed captions are available on this video. If you are using a mobile phone, please enable captions clicking on the gear icon.

Bonham notes the new hearing aids use the same design philosophy that has won Unitron several Red Dot design awards. The two Vivante RIC models have multifunction buttons and a tap control for volume/program changes and connectivity, respectively. VR is the smallest RIC in the Vivante family, with multifunction buttons and built-in direct connectivity. The VR-T has the same controls but includes a telecoil for people who want to use the aids for a landline phone or loop systems. Both models come in colors designed to match hair and skin tones.

The line also introduces a new smaller charger than Vivante’s predecessor, Moxi Blu which was introduced in May 2021. New to the charger is a magnetic insertion feature that makes it easier for users to insert and remove the aids from the charger.

“Vivante provides the next level of sound performance that focuses on speech in more environments and a personalized hearing experience made possible with our Experience Innovations,” says Unitron VP of Marketing Nicola McLaughlin. “We want our clients to hear the sounds of life, which is why we strive to create more innovative products for them. Empowering people with life-enhancing hearing experiences that fit seamlessly into their world, Unitron's Experience Innovations and intuitive design work perfectly together to provide personalization and optimization.”
