Quick Take
ELEHEAR Beyond 2 Pro is a rechargeable receiver-in-canal () hearing aid intended for adults with perceived mild to moderate hearing loss at a list price of $799 per pair.
Launched in September 2026, Beyond 2 Pro is now ELEHEAR’S flagship RIC hearing aid in front of the Beyond Pro and original Beyond, as well as the company’s more recent economy in-the-ear Delight model. All four ELEHEAR models feature -driven sound processing and provide Bluetooth audio streaming, app-based adjustments, tinnitus-masking sounds, AI translation, and access to ELEHEAR’s remote support services. The hearing aids also allow for hands-free calls and the streaming of music and other audio from compatible iPhone and Android phones (see below for more details and compatibility).
ELEHEAR Beyond 2 Pro, Beyond Pro, and Beyond are rechargeable RIC-style hearing aids, meaning the hearing aid body sits behind the ear, with a thin wire connecting it to a speaker in the ear canal. The principal upgrades of Beyond 2 Pro the previous RIC models include VOCCLEAR 3.0 processing, broadcast-audio reception, a lighter and flatter design, user-replaceable receivers, and finer control over bass, midrange, and treble through the ELEHEAR app.
In general, HearingTracker has been impressed with ELEHEAR hearing aids. Although we’ll emphasize that Beyond 2 Pro has not yet been tested in our partner lab, HearAdvisor has rated the company’s three previous models in the top-10 of all the hearing aids relative to acoustic performance, with all receiving a SoundScore of 4.2 or higher and an A SoundGrade. Similarly, HearingTracker has rated their overall performance as being in the top-10. Do to its low price and good performance, ELEHEAR Beyond is at the top of our list for “best value” OTC hearing aids.
Alternatives to ELEHEAR Beyond 2 Pro
As noted above, ELEHEAR Beyond Pro ($599/pair) and the original Beyond ($399/pair) were both impressive in the HearAdvisor lab relative to their price and remain what we consider some of the best OTC hearing aids on the market. For RIC-style OTC hearing aids, we also view the Yeasound RIC 800 ($549/pair) and Sennheiser All-Day Clear ($850) hearing aids as good alternatives to check out.

What’s new in Beyond 2 Pro?
ELEHEAR’s headline upgrade is VOCCLEAR 3.0, the latest version of its proprietary sound-processing system. It combines deep neural network-based noise reduction with what the company calls Target Speech Enhancement.
The system is intended to handle two different problems encountered in noisy places. Its noise-reduction processing targets relatively steady sounds, while Target Speech Enhancement is designed to make the desired voice easier to follow when competing speech is present.
ELEHEAR says Beyond 2 Pro produced a 39% relative improvement in speech intelligibility in extremely noisy conditions compared with the preceding Beyond Pro. The company has not translated that result into a conventional signal-to-noise ratio () improvement, and this percentage comes from internal testing rather than an independent lab like HearAdvisor.
The updated system also includes -hybrid feedback suppression. According to ELEHEAR, it responded 32% faster than the previous generation in internal testing, helping control whistling without unnecessarily reducing high-frequency amplification.
For music, the company reports a 17% relative performance improvement over Beyond Pro.
Other significant upgrades and features for Beyond 2 Pro include:
- : Built-in support for receiving audio from compatible broadcast systems, such as those in equipped public venues.
- Sound controls: Separate bass, midrange, and treble adjustments through Balanced Sound Control in the ELEHEAR app.
- Fit and maintenance: A lighter, flatter housing and user-replaceable receivers available in different wire lengths.
- Dust and water protection: An IP67 rating for everyday exposure. However, ELEHEAR advises against wearing the hearing aids while swimming or showering.

Smaller design with an important receiver-replacement option
Beyond 2 Pro is lighter in design at 4.3 grams, compared with 4.8 grams for Beyond Pro. The housing is also flatter and designed to sit closer to the head, which may make it more comfortable when worn with glasses. Although it is lighter than its predecessor, it is not among the smallest hearing aids available (we think that honor goes to ReSound Sensia).
One practical improvement is the addition of user-replaceable receivers. Receivers are the speakers that sit inside the ear canal and provide the amplified sound. Because they’re exposed to moisture and debris, it’s not uncommon for receivers to fail after a year or two, and this can be shortened in humid/wet environments, ears with a lot of earwax, lack of maintenance, etc. A failed or damaged receiver must therefore be replaced. With many hearing aids, that can require sending the device away for service, while prescription receivers are typically replaced by a hearing care professional. ELEHEAR’s user-replaceable design allows Beyond 2 Pro owners to perform the replacement themselves. Different receiver-wire lengths are also available to accommodate varying ear sizes, and the package includes an additional pair of size 3 receivers.
Beyond 2 Pro comes in silver, champagne, brown, and black (although we'll note that not every color may be available for purchase at the same time).
:format(webp))
It carries an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. That’s just a notch below the industry gold benchmark of IP68, but should provide protection against sweat, light rain, and incidental moisture (ELEHEAR advises users not to wear the device while swimming or showering).
Button and app controls and other features
ELEHEAR Beyond 2 Pro does have an onboard push button for volume adjustments, turning the hearing aids on and off, controlling streaming, and accepting or rejecting calls.
Additionally, the ELEHEAR app is available for compatible iPhones and Android phones. It provides controls for volume, noise reduction, listening mode, battery status, and other settings.
Beyond 2 Pro adds Balanced Sound Control, which allows users to adjust bass, midrange, and treble separately. Each frequency region can be changed in 1 increments across a range of ±8 dB. This provides considerably more flexibility than a simple overall tone control, although it still falls short of a professional fitting system in a prescription hearing aid where individual frequency bands can be independently adjusted.
Available listening modes include programs for general use, restaurants, television, and music, along with options for saving customized settings. The app can also deliver firmware updates over the air.
Additional app features include:
- Tinnitus-masking sounds
- A remote-microphone function that uses the phone to pick up and transmit nearby speech
- Real-time translation in 20 languages
The translation feature processes conversation through the phone and streams the translated speech to the hearing aids. Its usefulness will depend on phone connectivity, environmental noise, language pairing, and processing delay.
Hearing aid controls, Bluetooth, and Auracast
Physical buttons on the hearing aids can be used to adjust volume, start or stop streaming, and accept or reject calls. Beyond 2 Pro supports direct Bluetooth streaming of calls, music, podcasts, and other media from compatible iOS and Android devices.
The hearing aids also support hands-free calling. This means their microphones can pick up the wearer’s voice during a call, allowing the phone to remain in your pocket, purse, or nearby rather than requiring you to hold it close to speak. That differs from hearing aids that stream the caller’s voice to the ears but continue using the phone’s microphone for outgoing speech. Compatibility and available call controls may vary by phone model and operating system.
A major addition is Auracast broadcast audio, a newer Bluetooth capability that allows compatible hearing devices to receive audio transmitted in equipped public spaces. Potential applications include airport announcements, theater sound, conference presentations, places of worship, televisions in public places, and audio tours.
remains early in its rollout, so most buyers will probably use it only occasionally at first. Its value should grow as more venues install compatible transmitters.
Two levels of remote professional support
HearingTracker emphasizes the value of service and support with any hearing aid. Devices can malfunction or require maintenance, Bluetooth connections sometimes cause problems, and each person’s hearing needs are different—and may change over time. Reliable support is especially important with hearing aids, which are generally purchased and set up without an in-person hearing care professional.
ELEHEAR provides conventional customer support for questions involving setup, connectivity, maintenance, warranty claims, and other technical issues. Beyond Series users can also access two levels of remote professional hearing care: the free ElePro Basic service and the more comprehensive ElePro Plus consultation.
:format(webp))
With ElePro Basic, users complete a self-guided hearing screening in the ELEHEAR app and submit the results, along with information about their listening needs and difficulties. A licensed audiologist reviews the information and prepares personalized setting recommendations. The recommendations are delivered through the app and by email, and the revised settings can then be applied to the hearing aids. The service is asynchronous, meaning the user and audiologist do not meet in real time.
ElePro Plus adds a scheduled, 45-minute video consultation with a licensed hearing care professional. During the appointment, the provider can review the user’s hearing profile, discuss specific listening challenges, and adjust the hearing aids in real time using ELEHEAR’s professional fitting software. Users also receive a fitting summary, recommendations, and a follow-up email.
Below, we compare and contrast the two services:
Service | ElePro Basic | ElePro Plus |
|---|---|---|
Price | Free with purchase | $99 per session* |
Format | Screening and recommendations via app and email | Live 45-minute video appointment |
Professional review | Licensed professional reviews submitted information | Live consultation with a licensed hearing professional |
Hearing aid adjustments | Recommended settings delivered remotely | Settings adjusted during the live appointment |
Best for... | Initial personalization and relatively straightforward changes | More detailed fitting, counseling, and troubleshooting of listening difficulties |
ElePro Plus provides a more interactive and personalized fitting experience than is usually available with lower-priced hearing aids. However, neither service replaces a comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluation, physical examination of the ears, or in-person verification of hearing aid output; you'll only find that at an in-person consultation from a hearing care professional who adheres to best practices.
Price, trial period, and warranty
ELEHEAR Beyond 2 Pro has a list price of $799 per pair, including the hearing aids and portable charging case. The company also advertises free shipping and eligibility for payment through many and accounts.
ELEHEAR offers a 45-day trial period, which is fairly standard among hearing aid companies, although Jabra Enhance and Audicus allow up to 100 days. Because adjusting to hearing aids can take several weeks, users should begin wearing and evaluating Beyond 2 Pro promptly after receiving it.
The hearing aids carry a one-year limited warranty covering qualifying manufacturing, material, battery, and software defects. Accidental damage, normal wear, loss, theft, and damage caused by moisture or improper use are excluded. Customers may also be responsible for shipping costs on warranty service after the trial period.
Our first impressions
HearingTracker’s experiences and the HearAdvisor lab testing with ELEHEAR’s hearing aids has been generally positive; we’ve viewed them as some of the best OTC hearing aids available. At $799 per pair, Beyond 2 Pro occupies the upper end of ELEHEAR’s product range but remains substantially less expensive than many prescription hearing aids and professionally supported packages.
The addition of user-replaceable receivers, IP67 protection, detailed tone controls, and makes it a more versatile product than Beyond Pro on paper. Currently, we can’t say how much VOCCLEAR 3.0 improves speech understanding and sound quality in practice, and whether the improvements justify the $200 increase over Beyond Pro—or the still-impressive original ELEHEAR Beyond at half the price.
Our upcoming review from Dr. Steve Taddei’s will include hands-on findings and lab evaluations on speech in quiet and noise, sound quality, feedback control, battery performance, Bluetooth connectivity, app usability, comfort, and value. We will update this page with the results when testing is complete, so stay tuned!
