Lexie Launches B3 Hearing Aids Powered by Bose

Lexie Hearing has quietly introduced its new Lexie B3 Hearing Aids Powered by Bose, a rechargeable, receiver-in-canal (RIC), over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aid for adults with perceived mild-to-moderate hearing loss. The new model is listed on Lexie’s website for $999 per pair and appears to represent the company’s next major step in its Bose-powered OTC hearing aid lineup.

Lexie B3 builds on the familiar Lexie/Bose self-fitting approach and adds several important upgrades, including longer battery life, improved Bluetooth audio streaming, and a new directional system called Automatic Sound Focus. According to Lexie, the feature reduces background noise and automatically adjusts the hearing aids’ dual microphones toward the direction of speech. Listening modes include Everywhere, Natural, and Focused.

In March, HearingTracker reported on the launch of the new ORKA O1 Pro hearing aid, co-developed with Bose and featuring Bose “QuietControl” active noise cancellation (ANC) technology. The Lexie B3 appears visually similar to the ORKA O1 Pro, suggesting the two devices likely share design or technological elements; however, Lexie’s B3 materials do not mention ANC.

In recent weeks, Lexie has hit the refresh button on its product lineup. Along with the new B3, the company offers its Lexie B2 Plus RIC and Lexie H1 earbud hearing aids for $899 and $299 per pair, respectively. Lexie’s H1 earbud appears to have been a transfer of Link by Eargo technology after Lexie Hearing, Eargo, and hearX merged in March 2025 to form LXE Hearing. The company is no longer actively promoting its older Lexie Lumen and Lexie B1 models on its website.

The B3 uses an onsemi Ezairo 8300 digital chip, which Lexie says processes sound in real time to help maximize speech clarity. The company is also making a speech-in-noise performance claim based on an internal March 2026 Lexie Hearing study, stating that the B3 showed the greatest improvement and the highest objective speech clarity using HASPI in noisy conditions compared with the Lexie B2 Plus and Jabra Enhance Select 300. In HearAdvisor testing, Lexie B2 Plus and Jabra Enhance 300 were already deemed strong performers, earning an A SoundGrade and placing in the top 11% of OTC devices tested; in HearingTracker’s published lab results, the B2’s speech-in-noise score was 0.80 points above the OTC category average.

Because Lexie’s B3 claim is based on a manufacturer-sponsored internal study, independent lab testing from HearAdvisor will be important for confirming how the new model performs in real-world and standardized acoustic conditions. HearingTracker hopes to be testing the B3 in the near future.

Battery life is one of the headline changes from the B2 to the B3. Lexie says the B3 provides up to 32 hours of continuous use on a single charge, with the rechargeable carrying case adding up to 96 additional hours—or as much as 5 days of total runtime, equating to a 75% longer battery life than the B2 Plus. The hearing aids are also listed as IP68-rated for dust and water resistance, the highest Ingress Protection possible from hearing aids.

The B3 also appears to address one of the more important limitations of many earlier OTC devices: streaming quality and compatibility. Lexie says the B3 uses Bluetooth 5.3 with both Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), supporting wireless audio streaming for music, video, and hands-free calling on both iOS and Android devices. Lexie describes the result as fuller, richer Bluetooth audio with universal connectivity across major smartphone platforms.
