Unitron Introduces Moxi Vivante Hearing Aids with New Conversation in Loud Noise Processing

Vivante is designed to bring hearing aid users right to the heart of every conversation–even in loud noise.

Unitron, Aurora, Ill, has introduced its latest flagship hearing aid, Vivante, which is designed to enhance listener experience through personalized hearing control. Following the successful Blu Platform launched two years ago in April 2021, Vivante follows Moxi Blu’s “adaptable, personalized and freeing hearing experience” with its own set of features, integrating improved sound performance, new designs, and a suite of Experience Innovations with the Remote Plus app to deliver a customized listening experience, says Unitron.

Moxi Vivante, launched first two weeks ago in Canada, features two new RIC rechargeable models:

  • Moxi V-R, the smallest RIC on the platform, and
  • Moxi V-RT, with a built-in telecoil for people who wish to connect to landline phones and loop systems.

With the Vivante family also comes a new charging case that allows users to easily insert and remove their hearing devices thanks to the magnetic pull insertion.

“Following the same design philosophy that has won Unitron hearing instruments many awards, Moxi Vivante products are designed for those who appreciate aesthetics, comfort, and ease-of-use,” said Unitron Senior Product Manager Corey Banham in a press statement. “Our Moxi Vivante hearing instruments are designed to bring the sounds of the good life right to wearers’ ears.”

The hearing aids feature a lithium-ion rechargeable battery, onboard push-button controls, Bluetooth connectivity with Android- and Apple-compatible devices, and an IP68 rating, the “gold standard” for hearing aid protection from moisture and debris. Vivante comes in 5 technology levels (9, 7, 5, 3, 1).

With Vivante, Unitron has introduced a new automatic signal processing system, Integra OS, which has evolved to add one more listening environment to the previous seven previously featured in Blu: conversation in loud noise which is designed to help users in the most difficult noisy situations.

This includes a new feature, HyperFocus, designed to improve signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for face-to-face conversations in loud-noise environments and automatically adapt to constantly changing environments. Unitron says users will also have access to the new 360 conversation in-car manual program that automatically focuses on speech—regardless of where passengers are sitting—addressing the unique listening environment in the car. All of these listening features can be accessed through the Remote Plus app, which is available for iOS and Android devices.

Like Blu, Vivante also provides unique processing and optimized listening for quiet, conversation in quiet, conversation in small groups, conversation in noise, conversation in a crowd, noise, and music.

“Vivante provides the next level of sound performance, that focuses on  speech in more environments and a personalized hearing experience made possible with our Experience Innovations,” says Unitron VP of Marketing Nicola McLaughlin. “We want our patients to hear the sounds of life, which is why we strive to create more innovative products for them. Empowering people with life-enhancing hearing experiences that fit seamlessly into their world, Unitron's Experience Innovations and intuitive design work perfectly together to provide personalization and optimization.”
