I retired in 1991 as an instrumental music teacher from the Fairport Central School, Fairport, NY.  I live in Bradenton, FL.  I have had a hearing loss since 1996 following a major medical procedure and I attribute my HL to the anesthesia used during the surgery.  On October 25, 2019, I had a cochlear implant in my right ear.  I was activated on November 11, 2019.  I paid out-of-pocket for a Marvel M90 sound processor and a Phonak LinkM hearing aid;
