I had normal hearing until my mid-50's, then gradually started having trouble following conversations.  I now have a moderate to severe high frequency bilateral loss.  Hearing aids help a lot, except in noisy environments, where nothing seems to help. I am now wearing Signia Pure 13Nx RICs with acrylic molds, which are much more comfortable for me than domes.
