I started using hearing aids about ten months ago (currently Sept 2020), and am very pleased with hearing again. The hearing loss had progressed to the point that it affected family and other personal relationships, and also my ability to do my job correctly. Until being able to hear again, I had no idea how severe the loss had become. I found this forum while searching for information on a technical issue, and it seems to have very useful information.
