About ReSound One
ReSound One is GN Hearing’s latest flagship hearing aid. One shares many hardware and software features with the popular LiNX Quattro (released in 2018), and uses the same smartphone app (ReSound Smart 3D™) as previous generations of LiNX hearing aids. One appears to signal the end of line for the long-running LiNX series, which all started with the world's first Made-For-iPhone hearing aid back in 2013.
The LiNX series has evolved significantly over the years, gradually improving on connectivity, feedback suppression, noise cancellation, directional sound processing, speech enhancement, and smartphone app functionality. One inherits a very strong foundation from LiNX, and represents a radically new generation of hearing aids for ReSound, with the introduction of "Microphone & Receiver-In-Ear (M&RIE)", a pioneering technology that places a microphone in the ear to improve sound quality, localization, and wind noise. ReSound is also introducing binaural beamforming directionality ("Ultra Focus") in One.

New C6 Chip Platform
One runs on the brand new "C6 Chip Platform", which is ReSounds fastest and most efficient to date. The C6 platform delivers 50% more processing power and 220% more memory when compared to LiNX Quattro's platform, and ReSound claims this enables "sound with greater depth and direction without compromising battery life".
Microphone & Receiver-In-Ear ("M&RIE")
One of the big problems with behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aids is that the microphones are placed on top of the ear, rather than in the ear, where sound is typically picked up by the eardrum. Traditional BTE microphones miss out on the unique amplification provided by our unique ears (pinnas and ear canals, etc), which can introduce issues with sound quality and sound localization. To help overcome these issues, and restore more natural sound, One places a microphone inside the ear canal, to pick up sound that includes the unique amplification provided by our unique ears.
ReSound claims that M&RIE improves sound localization by about 15% when compared to omnidirectional BTE microphones, and about 10% when compared to hearing aids that provide pinna compensation (based on the resonance of an average ear, not your unique ear). They also claim that users more consistently prefer the sound quality of M&RIE vs pinna compensation, and a 14-19dB improvement in wind noise reduction when compared to omnidirectional mics, with greater improvements achieved in less windy settings.
The best part about M&RIE is the inclusion of both in-the-ear and over-the-ear microphones, which provide directional hearing benefits:
Microphones on the Over-The-Ear device mean that M&RIE can be combined with directional technology when additional boost in signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is desirable. M&RIE allows users full benefit of binaural processing by the brain. When the spatially encoded information is presented to the brain in the format it expects, the benefits include better SNR, better estimation of direction of arrival of sound, better depth and distance perception, and synergy between the visual and auditory systems. - Source
Ultra Focus and All Access Directionality
The other brand new feature in One is binaural beamforming directionality, which uses microphones from both hearing aids to create a hyperdirectional microphone array. This is thanks to the new C6 platform that enables ear-to-ear wireless streaming between hearing aids. ReSound states that All Access Directionality "uses a new binaural connection to create a stronger, more focused beam for sounds in front of the listener. Compared to traditional directionality it provides up to 2 dB better signal-to-noise ratio".

ReSound One Reviews
Hearing aid reviews are fundamentally different from reviews for most other consumer electronic products. The reason is because individual factors, like degree of hearing loss, have a profound effect one's success and overall satisfaction with the product. When purchasing a hearing aid, you'll need to consider more than just your hearing outcome ... Continue reading

Overall Ratings
Hearing Tracker uses a ten-question survey to assess consumer feedback on hearing aids. The percentage bars below reflect the average ratings provided per question, averaged across all hearing aids belonging to this family of devices.
Note: Original answers provided in star rating format.

Really mixed feelings at first, but with many adjustments i like them now. They do offer amazing battery life and even after a 16 hour day, they always have 40%+ of a charge left. I had to get custom molds to control feedback at my loss and decided to self program to get these adjusted to how I preferred them. Now I can't live without them. I have some Oticon S1's and like the Resound sound better than the all inclusive sounds from the S1's, but that is a preference on my part. I like the app and the options available on the app but had BT issues streaming from phone. I purchased a Phone Clip+ and when using it, all streaming works really well and sounds better, but it is another device to carry. I also have a TV Streamer that pushes Dolby sound to my aids and is excellent for catching all dialog with amazing separation while still allowing me to hear others sitting near me. Things I don't like is the wind noise is bad. I suspect some is because my gain is set high to match my loss, but my other aids don't seem to amplify wind noise so much. Not sure if it's the microphone placement or software but it can be irritating at windy times. If the streaming worked well without the Phone Clip I would give it 5 starts. All in all, I got these for a steal and if I had to pay full price I probably would wait or try others but at this point I am really happy with them and like I said, can't live without them and would recommend at least giving them a trial to see if the Resound sound is for you

Pretty disappointed in Resound One 9's. I've had them for around 7 or 8 months. First of all I wanted to be able to use the Tinnitus Sound Generator. My fitter told me that in order use TSG, it had to take the place of one of the programs. Doesn't sound right to me. If it's a selection under the "all-in-one program", why should it require using one of the programs. Hearing in noise - one of the big fallacies in hearing aids IMO. It's nonexistent. Wind noise reduction? Are you kidding? Environmental Optimizer II? As far as I'm concerned there are no automatic adjustments taking place for different environments. My previous hearing aids were pretty old - Unitron Moda Moxi. They had no real features and were less trouble than these high tech wonders. I guess under current circumstances, if you are on the fence between the One's and anything else, pick the "else."

My only complaint is that the bluetooth on these units is terrible. Very difficult to connect, sometimes not at all, sometimes one unit, frequently cuts out, weak signal. Drives me crazy! If I had known how bad it was, I would have purchased another brand.
Exactly my experience. It's basically false advertising to claim these aids have BT.

I’m new to hearing aids and they were easy to get use to. They work well and easy to adjust with the phone app.

spent 6500 for my first set of these hearing aids and a charger 2 plus years ago. Hearing aids had to go back to the manufacturer twice and the charger failed twice. I had to buy a new charger which now the customer care people are dragging their feet on replacing. Aweful product. Aweful customer care. Don't waste lots of money on this

Got from va. I had the old lynx before and they were great. The new one is Not reliable often times goes on and off at random . Lots of wind distortion and doesnt do well with any kind of moisture. Junk in my book.

Great Hearing Aids that were adjusted by my Hearing Aid.Tech at the VA.

So far I love my aids. So much better than my old ones

Right aid sound keep dropping sound then giving a warbled feed back. Have to turn on tcoil to even hear out of the right. And it's my 3rd on and have tried both mre and regular receivers.

Total junk! Got these from a hearing professional B&M store. Have lots of trouble pairing to my android phone(Pixel 5). When I do get a successful pair it will last from 1/2 hour to 3 hours, then loose one or the other aid and the one that is still paired chirps every 12 seconds. Sometimes rebooting phone works, sometimes reinstalling app works, sometimes just rebooting the aids work. But usually, app can't find both aids together, and the few time it does it unpairs one or the other after a few minutes. Resound may have made some breakthroughs with the One, but it needs more beta testing to be at all usable. The app has a 'request assistance', but I never get any answer from Resound, even after leaving my cell number. For the amount they charge, it should at least pair. Using them for streaming audio is even worse, when paired they continually cut in and out. These are supposed to be a hearing aid, not a hearing frustration. Total junk!
Exactly. Why do my $89 BT ear buds have better connectivity than these high dollar aids?

This hearing aid is a game changer. I have been wearing hearing aids over 10 years. These hearing aides Resound One 9 is the closest to normal hearing I have had in 10 years. I have been wearing for one week now. This is my 2nd Resound hearing aid.

Resound GN. I feel they are loud but not clear. I have been back for adjustments but they only turn them up. Very uncomfortable to be turning them up and not really clear. Fitted and bought from major hospital audiology dept and follow up was not good for such an expensive device.

I've wore several pairs of hearing devices over the past 30 years - these allow me to hear things I've not heard before

So far so good. I have the microphone in ear thing, and I do feel like the audio quality is an improvement over my old linx 3D hearing aids. More immersive sound, and I feel like it's easier for me to hear where sounds are coming from than before.

I am wearing the Resound one in left ear while I await my cochlear implant activation in 3 weeks on the right.
So far, i am happy with its functionality. The app is easy to use, and allows quick and easy adjustments to the sound, tv, podcasts, whatever you are hearing. I get my phone notifications directly into the aid, as well as driving instructions when using google maps. I think the mic and receiver in ear is helpful in attaining a very natural feeling, and there is no feedback. So far, so good!
I'm just checking to see how you are doing with your new implant and your resound hearing aid. I recently got a CI and am pairing it with a Resound aid in the left ear. After recovery ( I know this part is horrible) are you able to stream phone/ tv and hear clearly with both? Which hearing aid did you have?
I bought the Resound One six months ago. The left aid keeps turning on and off. They were returned but still have the same problem. Just the left aid turns on and off - feels like it is blocked. I do hear the beeps in both ears when I change the volume. I'd like to hear with both ears, not just one.
