I absolutely enjoyed my time at this hospital!! Caring nurses and doctors were the best! I wish I could hit the lottery and give them all some money for the way I was treated. The pandemic was awful and still is to an extent, but the staff.... I mean ALL of the staff, were caring and handled our frustrations, tears, and anxieties. I'm not in a rush to get sick and go back, but definitely a go for my medical needs if necessary. Thank you team!! 💯💯💪💪❤❤❤😊😊🏆🥇🥇Read more
Please do not EVER drop a loved one off for mental health care! I promise you, you will be sorry. They do not care about you. They will pump you with drugs and stick you in a corner. Nobody to talk to, nobody to help you through with a problem, only yelling at you that you are no good because of where you are. I can go on an on, please if you love someone, do NOT seek mental health care from here. Go elsewhere.Read more
I came all the way from the north side of Chicago, to get my second Covid vaccine here today. The staff was first class. From the moment I arrived I was impressed with how the nurses and receptionists treated the visitors. My nurse helped me to feel at ease. They were as cool as a cucumber. If I ever need to get another vaccine in my life- I’ll go here again. Two thumbs up for Loyola!Read more

My wife just came here she visited a clinic earlier in the day because of abdominal pain. But because the clinic didn’t have an ultrasound we went to McNeal. My wife’s insurance doesn’t kick in until January and I feel my wife was being discriminated against. 5 hours of her being there while others just come and go. 5 whole hours of my wife only getting medication for pain and nausea. The short chunky Mexican surgeon literally told my wife if you want to leave you can because she asked when will she get seen! I do not recommend sending your loved ones here.Read more
The MacNeal Hospital Audiology Department uses a number of different tests to diagnose hearing problems. Hearing tests that we use include:
Analysis of middle ear function
Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing for adults
Otoacoustic emissions (OAE) testing
Pure tone air/bone threshold assessment
Speech recognition assessment
Videonystagmography (VNG) testing
When you see an audiologist at MacNeal, we’ll help you to determine whether a hearing problem exists and, if so, the source and severity of the problem. We also work to help you understand test results and if needed, can provide you with a hearing aid if one is required. If you believe you may have a hearing problem, ask your doctor to refer you for a simple hearing evaluation.
The Audiology Department is located in the South Basement of MacNeal Hospital. Please call 708-783-3134 for more information.
