Chicago hearing society

Formed in 1917 by a gathering of 30 teachers and hard of hearing individuals, the organization is committed to providing communication access, hearing assistive technologies and services for those who are Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing.

Illinois Centers for Independent Living (INCIL)

INCIL is the Statewide organization of 22 Independent Living Centers (CILs) in Illinois. CILs are non-profit, non-residential, community-based organizations created for and by people with disabilities. They exist for helping people with disabilities gain full independence in work, education, housing, and any other aspect of life, from peer support to skills training.
