ReSound Accelerate Program to Offer FDA-Cleared OtoSet Ear Cleaning System from SafKan

SEATTLE, WA – SafKan Health and ReSound are pleased to announce they have entered into a partnership to make the FDA-cleared OtoSet^® Ear Cleaning System available through ReSound Accelerate, the hearing industry’s premier customer engagement program with more than 1,000 active members. Beginning in October of this year, the OtoSet Ear Cleaning System will be available on the ReSound Accelerate MarketPlace, allowing members to purchase the system at a discount, or redeem FlexPoints to receive free of charge.

According to the American Academy of Otolaryngology, excessive or impacted earwax is present in over 35 million Americans including 1 in 10 children, 1 in 20 adults, and more than one-third of the senior population. Excessive or impacted earwax is very common and can cause conductive hearing loss and several other symptoms. Additionally, approximately 60 to 70% of all damaged hearing aids sent in for repair are simply clogged with earwax or degraded by organic materials.

To address the need for a safer and more effective solution to treating excessive or impacted earwax, SafKan Health developed the first automated and FDA-cleared ear cleaning device called OtoSet.

How OtoSet works

In a quick cleaning cycle, irrigation is directed from solution containers through disposable ear tips and towards the walls of the ear canals to break down earwax.
