My name is Sara Oser and I have had hearing loss for about 30 years. Right now I have a Resound hearing aid in the left ear and a Cochlear Americas cochlear implant for the right ear. I am President and Co-Founder of the Hearing Loss Association of America North Bay of California Chapter. Our chapter holds 2 virtual monthly meetings in Zoom. The chapter meeting is the 2nd Thursday of the month, and the HOPE (Hearing Other People's Experiences) support group.is the 4th Thursday. I have facilitated the HOPE group along with Tawna Cooley for five years and found that by sharing our concerns and successes, we have become advocates for ourselves and others. I also present to affinity groups on various aspects of living with hearing loss. Our meetings add quality to our lives as we learn to live better with our hearing loss.
