Newsweek Survey Ranks Hearing Tracker #1 in Hearing Care
Recognizing the Brands Who “Nurture Their Relationships with Consumers”We’re pleased to share some great news with subscribers and visitors to Hearing Tracker. Newsweek Magazine has just named our site the number one hearing care brand in its 2020 Survey of America’s Best Customer Service.
The magazine’s second annual customer survey asked 20,000 consumers for their opinions on hundreds of providers of products and services in dozens of market categories. Well-known brands such as LL Bean, Disney, Ritz Carlton and Neiman Marcus made the overall top ten list. But when Newsweek queried customers about their experiences in specific industries and markets, Hearing Tracker nabbed first place in Hearing Care.
“We’re delighted that the Newsweek survey confirms we are on the right track,” said Abram Bailey, AuD, founder and CEO Hearing Tracker. “Our mission has always been to connect consumers with hearing-health resources and products that best meet their individual, personal needs.”
Hearing Tracker’s mission aligns nicely with the stated purpose of Newsweek’s survey—to identify the brands with the best human, personal touch in an economy where retail services have become increasingly impersonal. Newsweek said, “As we examined the larger, impersonal forces that are transforming retail, it seemed like a good time to recognize a more personal factor in business success: the ways in which many companies nurture their relationships with consumers.”
Newsweek worked with Statista, a respected global research firm, to collect and analyze data across 160 retail categories. They identified America’s Best Customer Service brands based on an independent survey of more than 20,000 U.S. customers who have either made purchases, used services, or gathered information about products or services in the past three years.
The magazine says the compiled rankings reveal the best customer-service companies.

Customers were asked whether they would recommend brands to friends or family; they were also asked to assess brands in the following areas: quality of communications, professional competence, range of services, customer focus, and accessibility.
The results provided information about service providers from 160 categories, spanning a broad spectrum of customer experiences. The final list recognizes the top three brands in each category.
“In 2020, we intend to continue providing the most useful information and best personal service that we can to consumers searching for hearing aids and hearing health assistance, and to the hearing health professionals who serve them,” said Bailey.
