Signia, Iselin, NJ, has announced the addition of three new hearing aids that use its latest Integrated Xperience (IX) hearing aid platform: Styletto IX, reportedly the world's slimmest and most sophisticated Slim Receiver-in-Canal (Slim-RIC) hearing aid, and the Insio IX Completely-in-the-Canal (CIC) and Invisible-in-the-Canal (IIC) hearing aids, two of the company's smallest and most discreet hearing aids to date. These new hearing aids join the Signia IX family, including the Pure Charge&Go IX RIC and Silk Charge&Go IX instant-fit CIC models.

According to Signia, the Integrated Xperience platform marks a breakthrough in hearing aid technology, with multi-stream architecture that can identify multiple conversation participants in real time. It builds upon the foundation laid by Signia’s previous Augmented Xperience (AX) platform by expanding the focus streams from two to five. Signia IX incorporates the company’s RealTime Conversation Enhancement technology, which analyzes, augments, and adapts to the dynamic flow of multi-talker conversations and complex listening situations.1

In research involving speech intelligibility in group conversation settings, Signia IX demonstrated a significant improvement in speech understanding, with 95% of subjects reporting better hearing clarity with Signia Integrated Xperience than without.2

“For too long, group conversations in noisy environments have been the biggest unmet need for people with hearing loss,” said Signia U.S. President Mike O’Neil in a press release. “A missed word can lead to a missed opportunity to contribute, which can lead to frustration, isolation, and ultimately withdrawal. As the only hearing aid manufacturer utilizing multi-stream technology, our Integrated Xperience platform addresses this challenge by featuring the industry’s best signal-to-noise (SNR) ratio— a significant improvement of 4.1 dB SNR in noisy group environments.”3

Styletto IX: The original slim-RIC just got even slimmer and more advanced

Succeeding the popular Styletto AX, the ultra-sleek Styletto IX is the world’s slimmest and most advanced Slim RIC hearing aid, according to Signia. Not only does it stand out visually, but it also melds cutting-edge technology with a chic, comfortable design, offering a battery life capable of lasting an entire day with up to 20 hours of runtime. Styletto IX has an innovative charging case, providing five full charges on the go before necessitating a recharge. Charging can be accomplished via Qi wireless technology or a traditional outlet.

Styletto IX is compatible with iPhone® (MFi) and Android™ (ASHA) for Bluetooth audio streaming, and employs Bluetooth LE Audio and is Auracast-ready (with a future firmware update). The hearing aid also features the Signia Assistant, which leverages a live cloud-based Deep Neural Network (DNN) enriched with real-world data to understand the wearer's surroundings and customize their hearing aids for support.
